| Quit smoking I quit smoking about 2 weeks ago without any cheating or aids. I am now craving a smoke for some reason. I am trying to stay strong. My husband smokes and it would be so easy to grab one but I can't. I CANT I CANT! Right! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Don't do it!! That's great you went 2 weeks without one. Just go one day at a time. My DH still smokes in spite of having severe vascular disease. He can only walk for about 5 minutes without severe pain. All from smoking. Good luck!

| Do not smoke, not one puff. I quit cold turkey 5 1/2 years ago -- I have never smoked since, and one puff and I'd be back to a pack a day.... Stay strong, I promise it gets easier!

| How are you doing now? I know its so hard. I had quit for 4 days and bought some and had some this morning ang felt terrible about it. One thing I am doing that is an incentive to me though is I get to have that money that I used to use for smoking to spend on whatever I want and I want that money so it keeps me going even when I fall a little bit. I just got to keep in mind those cravings are passing. Ive got pictures of things I want to buy with that money on the refrigerator to motivate me also. From now on when I have that craving Im gonna count to20 and think about the reasons why I quit. Praying helps also. I hope you are doing okay it is so very hard I know. My Husband really really wants me to quit so I feel I am quiting for him also

| I'm in the process of quitting also. It is sooo hard. The counting to 20 is a good idea. I've done that. It works pretty good. It gets my mind on something else. My husband smokes also. So far the smoke is not bothering me. He is being very supportive. I keep saying YEAH ME!!!!! I can do this. I've been wanting to quit for a long time. I agree we should keep this thread going to support each other. |

| It has been twelve years for me....I used Wellbutrin to quit. Worked like a charm. Stay strong...if the craving gets bad..go for a walk. If you just try and do something else the craving will pass. Please don't even take a drag...you will be right back at it. It gets much easier as time passes.

It's so wonderful that you quit...and I can't imagine how hard that must be with your hubby still smoking. Did you figure out what the trigger was for suddenly wanting one so badly? Exploring that may help a little. Be strong, you can do this!

| My husband quit 3 months ago and I am so proud of him. He gives me a daily update and in the past week or so it has turned into how horrible he now thinks smoker smell~love it I never thought I would hear those words come from his mouth. He also used Wellbutrin to help him quit and has done really well so far. You can do it too. Good luck.
