| I Want a Kitten! DH says no to getting a kitten but I want one so badly!!!! I keep hounding him and for the first time last night he acted like he might be weakening!!!!! I grew up with a short-haired calico and have my heart set on one, but he said if we got one without any hair it wouldn't be so bad. WHAT? Are there any rescues near Chicago? |

| PAWS is right of I80 in Tinley Park and they have tons of kittens and cats for adoption. Let me know if you decide to come this way we could do lunch.

| I think I'm pipe dreaming. We went to the South Suburban open house last year and there was a beautiful calico in there that actually reached out and grabbed my hair to get my attention. It wanted to get out and be held sooo badly! DH was infatuated with it too but still wouldn't let me have it. I have worked with that shelter and they would have let me walk out with her that very day I bet. I really would like to adopt a sphynx if I could find a rescue group. I am thinking though that it would be best for me to bring in a kitten. My four furbutts haven't been around cats and I think a kitten would stand a better chance at being accepted. Now I know I am pipe dreaming. How many sphynx kittens are in shelters! Not many I bet. (Am I spelling that right?) |

| I love my cat Avery and so does Sophie Kate, he was my first baby and is still just the sweetest boy ever. Sophie Kate and Avery are actually great pals, when Sophie Kate is gone to the groomers Avery just paces around the house waiting for her to come home. It is not unusal for him to bap her on the nose when she walks in like he is saying "how dare you leave me".

| I got a kitten 2 weeks ago. Our biggest concern was how the dogs would take life with a kitten in the house. After about 3 days they were FINE! We were amazed. Unfortunately we were not fine, allergies like crazy, which we NEVER expected and we had to rehome the kitten! So sad!! Good Luck and post pics when you get one! Tell DH cats are so much easier than Yorkies and he more than likely won't even know it's there in the house! hahahaha worked to convince my BF until his allergies kicked in big time!
