| Old Towels & Linens = Great Donation to Animal Rescue If any of you have old / no longer in use linens (towels, blankets, sheets, etc) your local animal rescue will take them as a donation, and they are put to immediate use to benefit the animals in their care. I just got rid of 4 bags of towels we had "acquired" after my MIL passed away that I had no use for. You would have thought I brought gold into the rescue facility... ideal donation for perfectly good linens that no longer are useful! |

| We have also taken unused toys and bags of dog food and treats that our 'kids' didn't like, to our Humane Society. They are always happy to get them.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Also, paper plates and paper towels and baby food. Our shelter is always in need of these.

| I brought my local shelter Levi and Lily's old beds, after I had purchased the new cloud nine beds from YHR. They were very happy to get them.

| We take bags of shredded paper to the animal shelter too. Don't have as much as we used to, but when I get a few bags together I have a friend take them to the shelter.

| Many shelters and humane societies have a list on their website of things they are in need of- sometimes it is stuff you just have laying around the house or something you can get really cheap- so its always good to check their websites. I always take unused food to my humane society and they are happy to take it. I also take beds/blankets/ toys that I have no use for to a cat rescue.

| When our Humane Society raided a Yorkie puppy mill I went to Big Lots and bought all of the Yorkie-sized beds I could find and took them over to them. I hope it made a few little guys more comfortable. I checked the web site and beds were one of the things on their 'wish' list.
