| Ugh, praying I don't sick... I hate this. So Saturday and Sunday night, I slept at my dads house (had Jackson with me, of course, to play with his little doggy friends, etc) and I got a call from my mom Sunday night that Tom, my step-dad, had started throwing up at 7pm and threw up alot all night until 7am the next morning. So I decided to be better safe than sorry, and just STAY at my dads house away from the germs. (I live with my stepdad and mom) It could have possibly been food poisoning because they had went to the Green Turtle around 4pm on Sunday and he ate the chicken wings there but nobody else did. But anyways, I was just being safe. Tom had not puked all day Monday or Tuesday (since 7am monday, anyways) so I figured I was okay to come back home. Been fine Tuesday, Wednesday and today... and my mom calls and picked up my little 3 year old sister from daycare because she was throwing up! Ahhhh! So now I'm around it and I'm freaking out LOL because 2 years ago we all got this virus thing sooo bad, that whoever came into our house just starting puking within hours of leaving. It was sooo terrible and I don't wanna go through that again. So I'm sitting downstairs in my room, my sister is upstairs. I'm nauseous now just because I'm hearing about it, I'm pretty sure it's all in my head, but ugh, I hate this feeling. My stomach has been a lil off all day but I started my period this AM so it's normal. I took the dog for a 2 hour walk today and was fine, so who knows. I took an anti nausea pill prescribed from a doctor from a year ago just to be on the safe side. anyways sorry for the LONG annoying rant. And if anyone even read it, thanks for letting me vent! I just *really* don't wanna get sick. Besides the fact that I am still sick with this cold I've had since Christmas Eve, my cough still hasn't completely gone away, and I'm still taking antibiotics for that! Yikes!

| Are you taking a good multi vitamin, vitamin C or an immune booster like Air Bourne? That may help you. Oh, I hope you don't get sick too. And eat some yogurt to replace the bacteria the antibiotic is destroying as well.

| I did take a vitamin C pill around 3pm too. The anti nausea pill I took around 4. I didn't think of the yogurt! Thanks for the idea. I think we have some in our fridge.

| When someone around me is sick, I start throwing down 1000 mg or more of vit c everyday for awhile. I hope you don't get sick.

| OMG! Reading your post was like listening to my daughter years ago when she was living at home. If she knew anybody had been stomach sick she would worry so about also getting sick. I'm convinced she made herself sick just from stressing over it. Try not to think about it and hopefully you'll be lucky and will stay healthy.

| Antibotic will not help a cold. Cold is a Virus. THere are some real bad strains out there. Mine lasted close to 2 weeks, and yes, caught it from Marge who brought it home from a Business Trip. Sounds like your Step Dad either had food poising or a 24 hour intestinal bug. Same thing happened to my 85 year old Father in Law. Had to take him to the ER and he was released about 4 hours later with an Anti-Emetic and is now fine. Relax......if you get sick, it will end, not you! |

| Try sipping a little bit of Sprite soda. Don't gulp. That is good for nausea. My Dad was a bartender/club manager and he used to tell people who had a hangover to sip Sprite. It works! Feel better!!!! |
