| Credit Card Fraud Please check your credit card transactions carefully. I went online on Saturday to check our Wells Fargo Visa account, and there was a transaction on the 15th December for $1.60 for Decoration Art, LLC in Jacksonville, Fl. Bruce was in hospital then and I haven't used the card this month at all. We usually only use our bank's debit card. I did some checking on the internet, and this company seems to do this on a regular basis, usually small amounts, always ending in .60 I called Wells Fargo and requested that they cancel the cards and issue new ones. They say they will cancel the charge as fraudulent and send it to their fraud department, and issue us new credit cards. As they are a registered LLC in Florida I filed an online complaint with the State's Attorney General's office. Many people probably wouldn't notice a $1.60 charge, or if they did they would probably discount it. If these companies do this to enough people they would make quite a bit of money. Also it is possible that if the small charges go through then they would put a bigger charge through.

| December 15th was the day Visa and Mastercard were cyber attacked. My Wells Fargo/Wachovia Visa debit/credit card was stolen, too. A few one cent charges were run through which apparently is how they test the card, with small charges at first. Thank heavens my bank spotted it and froze my card immediately! |

| Good reminder! Scott got a call about his Visa a couple of weeks ago, saying they have frozen the account and were sending him a new card because the security may have been compromised. There wasn't anything extra on his account but I guess the bank noticed something.

| They profiled this scam on our local news not too long ago. Apparently, if they have enough accounts and no one questions such a small amount, they can walk off with A LOT of money. Good thing you were watching your card closely!!!

This particular credit card we usually only use it when we are on a cruise, and I like to pay it off quickly so I make two payments a month on it. As I pay it online I can see the pending transactions and all transactions. So I do see the transactions every time I log on there and will see any unauthorized charges. When I did a google search on the phone number associated with the charge I found that there were complaints back to 2008 about these small charges, always ending in .60 I always check transactions on this card and on our bank debit card regularly to make sure there is nothing charged that isn't authorized. (I know Bruce sometimes thinks I am crazy as I often ask him if he had made a charge I see that I didn't know about)

| Well Friday I went to check my bank account and I was minus $450, so of course, I'm really confused. There was a check image, so I opened it and looked at it. Someone wrote a check out to my name, forged my signature on the back along with my account number and cashed that check. The check bounced. I had to go in the bank, open a fraud claim, and change all my account numbers. Just a word of warning: be careful where you are when you check your bank account information... if you are on a public network, there are some that can find out what you were looking at. I think that is how someone got my account number. I think I must have looked at my account on my college's public network.
