| Unable to reach family after tornado I am unable to reach some of my family after the tornado that hit Newburgh, Indiana this morning. My parents are ok, I just spoke with them and my sister, and 2 of my friends, they all have some damage but they are ok, but we still can't get through to my cousin and her husband and they have 3 small children- we are very worried because by what we see on the news they live in one of the hardest hit areas, they also own a business right there by their house. We are all praying that they are ok. It was very bad. The closest way I can watch is via the web and CNN. We are all nervous wrecks and I think my aunt went down there to try and find them even though there is a state of emergency declared. Oh, I hope they are ok. Keep them in your thoughts and I will update you all as soon as I know something.

| Thank Goodness!!!! I just talked to my cousin Nicole, they are ok. She said that she heard alot of noise and it stormin outside so she turned on the TV and they were saying take cover immediately, then she heard the siren, so she screamed at her husband to help her run upstairs and grab the kids and the were running down the stairs and just got in the closet under the stairs when it hit. It took off the roof and everything is gone on the second floor but at least they are alive and ok. One of the saddest things is they just moved into the house in August. My aunt has the kids so they don't get freaked out and my cousin and her husband stayed behind to try and salvage what they can. Their business has only minimal damage so thank goodness they didn't lose that too. Oh we are just relieved that they are ok. I will let you all know more when I can. My mom just has 1 friend who she can't reach but she thinks that she wasn't in the badly hit area. So hopefully she and her family are ok.

| They are saying it was an F3 or bigger. An F3 is winds 158 mph to 206 mph. That is stronger than the hurricane I just went through. It is so different to go through a tornado they have very little to no warning. At least here with the hurricanes we know they are coming. There are reported 22 people dead and over 150 injured. It completely devastated a trailer park just outside Evansville where 17 of the 22 dead were found and they expect to find more and the race track had alot of damage and some horses died. So sad. There are alot of farmers who lost everything too, that is really sad. It hit the towns as well as the rural areas. The neighborhood where my cousin lives lost several houses and her second story is going to have to be demolished she said when I spoke with her after she had time to survey the damage today. They cancelled school for them tomorrow. It is really sad. I feel so helpless being here when that is my home and those are my people and they need help. My mom is going to see what I can do to help since I am here and not there. I live here in Florida now but that will always be my home and where my roots are. I really want to help in anyway I can. It is just so sad. Thank you all I will definetly pass the thoughts and prayers on to them and thank you for letting me talk with you all about this.
