| HEHE You're a nut! Big Daddy has a friend that bought a cheap Range Rover over the internet. We are going to try to use this site when we buy our car...they are all used and in good condition. The thing is I don't know the site and BD is on vaca. When he calls later or tomorrow AM I'll ask him. |

| LOL. I wanted to trade my SUV for a Honda civic hybrid a few months ago. My payments were too upside down. I have a Saturn VUE, which is a great car, and really pretty good on gas for an SUV...but 46 miles to the gallon was sounding awfully good on the hybrid. I went by the Saturn place the other day and saw where they were selling the VUE's for less than what I have left to pay on mine......ARRRRGH! You should be able to find a deal with everyone trading them in!

| Just a note about Hybrids--on 20/20 or dateline or one of those news programs-they did an independent test on the Hybrid cars and they wanted to know the true milage of the hybrid. They tested all of them, and only 10% got the actual mileage of what they said they would get. So that means 90% of the hybrids gave false mileage as they advertised. And of those 90%- more than 1/2 got only 1/2 the miles per gallon that they were supposed to get. So hybrids cost more than a regular car, and many don't get the actual milage they are supposed to get. I just thought I would throw that out there!!!! So you end up spending way more money!!! And on the original note-- the Pontiac Torrent that just came out-got great ratings!!!! Feels more like a car, but suv suspension. Got more miles to the gallon than what they advertise!!! And very reasonably priced!!!!

| We have a '98 Tahoe and just love it!! The gas mileage isn't the best (we get 18 mpg on the highway and probably 15 mpg in town. It is so easy to lay the back seats down for added storage. My husband just hates for me to go to flea markets with it because I can put so much in it. It only seats 5 but I think that you can get them with a third seat (I'm not sure how much room is left though). It has alot of room between the seats. A person sitting in the back seat has alot of leg room, as well as the front. A Tahoe is a smaller version of a Suburban, which has even more room. I would definitely buy another one. I hope that this was helpful.

| The only thing I know about SUVS...brace yourself this will show my true obsessiveness with dog shopping.....is that they make a special sized lookout dog seat for them. More room for the pups! |

| I would love an SUV, but I think I would have a heart attack filling up the gas tank each week! That's really disapointing about the hybrids. However, I do know someone that drove from central NY to (I believe it was southern) Florida on $38 in gas in a hybrid car, so some of them are still pretty impressive. My friend got the new Chevy SUV last year and likes it. She said that it isn't too bad on gas and the interior is pretty nice and comfy! |

I had a great Chevy Blazer that I absolutely loved...(until someone blew off a red light and totalled it) Sigh. .. Look for a used one with about 20,000 miles on it. Its still new...but priced much, much less...Good luck! Francie | |
