| After having worked retail for many years, I vowed never to shop on Black Friday unless my or husband's life depended on it! I had a very unpleasant experience many years ago when I worked a kiosk at Sears. My best friend asked me to buy a couple Cabbage Patch babies for her (she worked there as well) when I went on break. I obliged, but when I grabbed two blond girl dolls, a fellow customer actually grabbed one out of my arms, stating that I "didn't deserve TWO BLONDS!". Needless to say, after standing and waiting for almost an hour for them to go on sale, I GOT MY DOLLS! Both of them. Almost sent her to the hospital, I almost got fired, so much for Christmas spirit! At least my friend's grandaughters got their babies, and seeing their happy faces made it worth it for me! |

| Some of the stores in the Mall here are opening at midnight. My oldest son works in retail and is scheduled for Black Friday. He is not looking forward to it. My youngest works in a supermarket so I don't think he will be as busy. Personally, I'm not going shopping that day!! Those of you who will be shopping, enjoy yourselves and I hope you get alot of good buys!! |

| I have opted out of the BF sales craziness for many years now. When I was younger I found it almost fun at times. But the older I got, the more annoyed I would get when people got rude and they ALWAYS get rude on BF. I might make an exception to go to one of the smaller shops here in my own very small town. But I won't go near the malls in the larger town next to us. I try to do my shopping through the week and before the mall really takes on that frenzied Christmas shopping speed. I use the internet for as much as possible. I actually got some done today online. I made sure NOT to use of Amazon though.

| I live for Black Friday shopping seriously. You know that lady in the Target commercial who is cross training for Black Friday...that COULD be me. I like the excitement of getting a deal, heck I even shop for other people. I think it may be my version of hunting and gathering.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | That's so funny. The last time I got up before dawn was also during the Furby craze -- I was the first one in the store that advertised them and they didn't have a single one for sale -- the employees took them all before the store opened! But I think it's a dandy idea to end the day with margaritas, anyway! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I've never been, and don't really get it. I mean do the stores have specials that people actually want or do you want the stuff because it's a a special price? Are you buying for other people or are you buying for yourselves? Do you know what specials the stores are having before you go to them, or do they anounce them at the store? What are some of the deals people have gotten? Hell, I'm tired from just thinking about it, but I do love a good deal . . .

Most stores do send out sale papers or have online what they will have. I buy for myself occasionally and others. Sometimes you can get special items that are not out any other time. My friend has gotten toy sets like this for her kids in the past. Honestly, I go for the sake of tradition with my friend and we end the day with Margarita's. Year before last, however, I found an envelope of money while standing in line on our way into Target. I also found its owner and gave it back. | |

| My sister and I were both talking about this yesterday. We have been going for years and last year we took out teenage daughters with us. It's not about the sales so much as we just love to shop. I love the circuses that go on in the stores.
