| 3 Doors Down The Road I'm On (Music by Arnold, Roberts & Harrell) She said life's a lot to think about sometimes When you're living between the lines And all the stars they sparkle and shine everyday He said life's so hard to move in sometimes When it feels like I'm towin' the line And no one even cares to ask me why I feel this way I know you feel helpless now and I know you feel alone That's the same road, the same road I am on He said life's a lot to think about sometimes When you keep it all between the lines Of everything I want and I want to find, one of these days What you thought was real in life somehow steered you wrong Now you just keep drivin' tryin' to find out where you belong I know you feel helpless now and I know you feel alone That's the same road, that same road that I am on What you thought was real in life somehow steered you wrong Now you just keep drivin' tryin' to find out where you belong I know you feel helpless now and I know you feel alone That's the same road, that same road that I am on

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | All your awesome lyrics make these sound even sappier than I thought, but wtf, this played at my wedding. Romantic or sad? hmmmmm. Of course Winona could sing words out of a calculus text, and I'd love it. Over the line Winona Billy was a small town loner Who never did dream Of ever leaving southern arizona Or ever hearing wedding bells ring He never had a lot of luck with the ladies But he sure had a lot of good working skills Never cared about climbing any ladder He knew the way in a small cafe, found the will He met miss bonnie And a little bit of her was a little too much A few movies and a few months later The feeling got strong enough They didn’t own a car So it must have been love That drove him uptown for a diamond That’s when he started goin? (chorus) Over the line Working overtime To give her things just to hear her say she don’t deserve them But he loves her and he just kept going overboard Over the limit to afford to give her things he knew she wanted ‘cause without her where would he be? See, it’s not for him She is his only need Ring on her finger and one on the ladder A new promotion every now and then Bonnie worked until she couldn’t tie her apron Then stayed at home and had the first of two children And my, how the time did fly The babies grew up and moved away Left ’em sitting on the front porch rocking And billy watching bonnie’s hair turn gray And ev’ry once in a while you could see him get up And he’d head downtown ‘cause he heard about something she wanted And it just had to be found Didn’t matter how simple or how much It was love And, boy, ain’t that love just something When it’s strong enough to keep a man goin? p> (repeat chorus) Over the line Working overtime She is his only need His only need Overboard Over the limit Just for her She is his only need His only need

| Trouble Oh no, I see A spider-web is tangled up with me And I lost my head And thought of all the stupid things I've said Oh no, what's this? A spider-web and I'm caught in the middle So I turn to run And thought of all the stupid things I've done And oh, I never meant to cause you trouble Oh, I never meant to do you wrong And oh, well if I ever caused you trouble Oh, no I never meant to do you harm Oh no, I see The spider-web and it's me in the middle So I twist and turn But here am I in my little bubble Singing and oh, I never meant to cause you trouble And oh, I never meant to do you wrong Oh, well if I ever caused you trouble Oh, no I never meant to do you harm They spun a web for me

| Everything's Not Lost When I counted up my demons Saw there was one for every day With the good ones on my shoulders I drove the other ones away So if you ever feel neglected And if you think that all is lost I'll be counting up my demons, yeah Hoping everything's not lost When you thought that it was over You could feel it all around And everybody's out to get you Don't you let it drag you down 'Cos if you ever feel neglected And if you think that all is lost I'll be counting up my demons, yeah Hoping everything's not lost If you ever feel neglected If you think that all is lost I'll be counting up my demons, yeah Hoping everything's not lost

More or less It's just a change in me Something in my liberty Oh, my, my Happiness Coming and going I watch you look at me Watch my fever growing I know just where I am But how many corners do I have to turn? How many times do I have to learn All the love I have is in my mind? Well, I'm a lucky man With fire in my hands Happiness Something in my own place I'm stood here naked Smiling, I feel no disgrace With who I am Happiness Coming and going I watch you look at me Watch my fever growing I know just who I am But how many corners do I have to turn? How many times do I have to learn All the love I have is in my mind? I hope you understand I hope you understand Gotta love that'll never die Happiness More or less It's just a change in me Something in my liberty Happiness Coming and going I watch you look at me Watch my fever growing I know Oh, my, my Oh, my, my Oh, my, my Oh, my, my Gotta love that'll never die Gotta love that'll never die No, no I'm a lucky man It's just a change in me Something in my liberty It's just a change in me Something in my liberty It's just a change in me Something in my liberty Oh, my, my Oh, my, my It's just a change in me Something in my liberty

| silvertide while searching for these lyrics i found out they have a myspace account so now im pretty excited. (no it doesn't take much) I'm still standing here, awkward and unaware As you scream the topic's closed, and slam down the telephone You swear that you still care But I'm still standing here confused and somewhat drawn My head's lost but I'm heartstrong (Yeah I'm heartstrong) You said you've been trying to hold on For oh so long I've been thinking that you might like to tag along And you came off so smooth with all your character flaws And I'm thinking about you and every night I fall (Back into no one's arms, how could you leave this way) I'm still standing here, awkward and unaware As you scream the topic's closed, and slam down the telephone You swear that you still care But I'm still standing here confused and somewhat drawn My head's lost but I'm heartstrong (Yeah I'm heartstrong) And you've been trying to pick me up like a ghost from the past But you found that it's hard with your blood stained hands Yeah it's real hard to get a firm grip And every single minute that you think that your heart's too broke Then your mind kicks in and screams let 'em go 'cause I'm torn asunder with no hope And every night I fall (Back into no one's arms, how could you leave this way) I'm still standing here, awkward and unaware As you scream the topic's closed, and slam down the telephone You swear that you still care But I'm still standing here confused and somewhat drawn My head's lost but I'm heartstrong (Yeah I'm heartstrong) I just can't stand to see you smile From a picture frame And all I wanna do is touch your face And take you far away I'll take you far away I'm still standing here, awkward and unaware As you scream the topic's closed, and slam down the telephone You swear that you still care But I'm still standing here confused and somewhat drawn My head's lost but I'm heartstrong (Yeah I'm heartstrong) But I'm still standing here Tell me why, and I'm still standing here All this time I'm living a lie And I'm still standing here Tell me why And I'm still standing here And I'm heartstrong

| Long Slow Kiss by Jeff Bates Hey baby, I guess you're wondering What I'm doing home so soon Naw, I ain't sick It's just, this morning when you told me You didn't feel like you were the most Important thing in my life anymore Well that broke my heart So I had to turn around and come back And tell you what I'm gonna do about it I'm gonna light the bedroom candles Take the phone out of the wall We can lay around and talk for hours Or maybe we won't talk at all I'm gonna resurrect the love That slipped away from us And the man you've been missin' Startin' with some long, slow kisses I just wanna let you know how ashamed I am For making you feel that way Darlin', I'm so sorry I guess I've just been focusin' Too much time on making a living And way too little on making love But if you can just find it in your heart to forgive me Girl, I swear from this moment on You'll always know where you stand with me I'm gonna light the bedroom candles Take the phone out of the wall We can lay around and talk for hours Or maybe we won't talk at all I'm gonna resurrect the love That slipped away from us And the man you've been missin' Startin' with some long, slow kisses 'Cause what really matters most Is you and me this close Feeling no distance Sharin' some long, slow kisses Sharin' some long, slow kisses This is one of my favorite songs

| The Good Stuff The Good Stuff Kenny Chesney Well me and my lady had our first big fight So I drove around till I saw the neon lights at a corner bar It just seemed right, so I pulled up Not a soul around but the old bar keep down at the end lookin' half asleep He walked up and said "What'll it be?" I said,''The good stuff" He didn't reach around for the whiskey He didn't pour me a beer His blue eyes kind of went misty He said, "You can't find that here." Chorus 1: Cause its the first long kiss on a second date your momma's all worried when you get home late Droppin the ring in the spaghetti plate cause your hands are shakin so much It's the way that she looks with the rice in her hair Eatin' burnt suppers the whole first year and askin for seconds to keep her from tearin' up Yeah man, that's the good stuff He grabbed a carton of milk and he poured a glass then I smiled and said, "I'll have some of that." We sat there and talked as an hour passed like old friends Saw a black and white picture and it caught my stare It was a pretty girl with bouffant hair He said, "That's my Bonnie, taken 'bout a year after we wed." He said, "Spent 5 years in the bottle, when the cancer took her from me, But Ive been sober 3 years now 'Cause the one thing stronger than the whiskey Chorus 2: Was the sight of her holdin' my baby girl The way she adored that string of pearls I gave her the day that our youngest boy Earl, married his high school love and it's a new t-shirt saying "I'm a grandpa" and being right there as our time got small, And holdin her hand when the good Lord called her up Yeah man, That's the good stuff Bridge: He said, ''When you get home she'll start to cry, When she says, ''Im sorry,'' say ''So am I'' Then look into those eyes so deep in love and drink it up 'Cause thats the good stuff That's the good stuff

| Young We used to turn it up loud, row down the windows, cruise the country back roads. Those were the good ole days. Young Kenny Chesney I think a lot of my fans are facing these same transitions. Maybe they're falling in love or breaking up, partying, moving on for the first time. But they're experiencing these things that will stamp their life and how they deal with the future. It can be thrilling. It can be scary. But it will never be the same. The best thing you can do is just throw your arms wide open and take what comes for everything you've got." Looking back now, well it makes me laugh We were growin our hair, we were cuttin' class Knew it all already, there was nothing to learn We were strikin' matches just to watch 'em burn Listen to our music just a little too loud We were hangin' in there with the outcast crowd Headin' to the rapids with some discount beer It was a long train tussle but we had no fear. Man I don't know, where the time goes But It sure goes fast, just like that We were wanna be rebels who didn't have a clue With our Rock n' roll T-shirts, and our typically bad attitudes Had no excuses for the things that we'd done We were brave, we were crazy, we were mostly Young Talked a good game when we were out with the guys But in the back seat we were awkward and shy Girls were a mystery that we couldn't explain And I guess there are some things that are never gonna change Man I don't know, where the time goes But It sure goes fast, just like that We were wanna be rebels who didn't have a clue With our Rock n' roll T-shirts, and our typically bad attitudes Had no excuses for the things that we'd done We were brave, we were crazy, we were mostly Young Young, Young, Yeah Wishin' we were older Young, Hey I wish it wasn't over Man I don't know, where the time goes But It sure goes fast, just like that We were wanna be rebels who didn't have a clue With our Rock n' roll T-shirts, and our typically bad attitudes Had no excuses for the things that we'd done We were brave, we were crazy, we were mostly Young Young, Hey wishin' we were older, wish it wasn't over

| I Go Back Man, all these lyrics to amazing songs. It brought this one to mind. I Go Back Kenny Chesney "Jack and Diane" painted a picture of my life and my dreams, Suddenly this crazy world made more sense to me Well I heard it today and I couldn't help but sing along Cause everytime I hear that song... I go back to a two-toned short bed Chevy Drivin my first love out to the levy Livin life with no sense of time And I go back to the feel of a fifty yard line A blanket, a girl, some raspberry wine Wishin time would stop right in its tracks Every time I hear that song, I go back, I go back I used to rock all night long to "Keep On Rockin Me Baby" Frat parties, college bars, just tryin to impress the ladies I heard it today and I couldn't help but sing along Cause every time I hear that song.... I Go Back I go back to the smell of an old gym floor The taste of salt on the Carolina shore After graduation and drinkin goodbye to friends And I go back to watchin summer fade to fall Growin up too fast and I do recall Wishin time would stop right in its tracks Every time I hear that song, I go back, I go back We all have a song that somehow stamped our lives Takes us to another place and time So I go back to a pew, preacher, and a choir Singin bout God, brimstone, and fire And the smell of Sunday chicken after church And I go back to the loss of a real good friend And the sixteen summers I shared with him Now "Only The Good Die Young" stops me in my tracks Every time I hear that song, I go back, I go back To the feel of a fifty yard line A blanket, a girl, some raspberry wine, I go back I go back To watchin summer fade to fall Growin up too fast and I do recall, I go back I go back To the loss of a real good friend And the sixteen summers I shared with him, I go back I go back (Fades) I go back, I go back
