| Fingerprint free Fridge??? Ok here's my dilemma. My fridge that i've had for 14 years...is finally making its way to Fridge heaven. It's leaking water from the bottom. I have a white fridge right now. My husband prefers to get a stainless steal one. Now i have a stainless steal fridge in my Florida home....which i'm constantly cleaning cause of fingerprints...HIS to be exact! Anyways, i'm just wondering does anyone have a stainless steal fridge that doesnt show fingerprints? I prefer the ones with the freezer on the bottom. Any ideas will greatly be appreciated.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I know when we were shopping for one, Frigidare had one that had a different type stainless steel on it. It had a different look than the real SS. I finally found a good cleaner for my stainless appliances. It's an Ace Hardware foam cleaner. My DH was the one that had to have stainless and I am the one cleaning it all the time.

| I have a Frigidare Professional that has a brushed SS look and it doesn't show fingerprints. They add something to the SS -- I forget what -- and not only does it eliminate the fingerprints, you can also use magnets on it (so there must be some iron in there somewhere). I love the exterior, it stays looking so nice. It does look slightly different from my straight SS GE appliances (it is a barely noticeable shade of silver), but you would have to put them right up against each other to tell, and we don't tend to rearrange our fridge or other appliances around the kitchen so no problems there! I would bet that other brands make a modified stainless exterior that doesn't show fingerprints, too. When you are shopping, it is going to be really obvious. Some of the floor models will be covered with fingerprints, while others look like they've just been taken out of the carton and never touched.

This water usually just drains to the pan, under your fridge where it evaporates. But when it clogs up, it drains wherever, and pools water around your fridge. I have had this happen twice in something like 15 years. I guess I may be due a new fridge soon too, but so far so good.

| We use a stainless steel cleaner we picked up at lowes. It smells great and removes all fingerprints and water spots easily. |
