We have had quite a bit if bad luck this last six months or so. But none have been this hard to deal with. I was informed that my Aunt passed away. It happened the very day I had my surgery. Evenone thought it was best to keep it from me till I was better. She was my rock, one of my best friends, and a mother who was looking foward to being a grandmother for the fist time (not that any of her children were pregnant but they were trying) She had been baby shopping for months and had a closet full of baby toys, clothing, and blankets. She was also getting ready to give her only duaghter away at her wedding in April.

Elaine Renee aka Nay was the baby of my dads side of the family. The youngest of 6 sibs. And was adored by everyone she ever met. At only 52 I want to know why? Why would God want to take her away from all who loved her and needed her? I have lost family members and all hurt but this was just not supposed to happen.

She had been working out quite a bit trying to lose a few lbs before her daughters wedding. She and her oldest son had been going for runs after dinner for the last few weeks. This day no different then any. They did not run any more or less then any other time. At the end of their run, they reached my cousins garage with my cousin just about 20 feet ahead of her, she aproched him with a smile saying "you beat me" with my cousin looking right at her she said oh no and fell,,, He caught her, gave her cpr. While yelling for his wife to call 911. They both did not stop cpr till the fire trucks came. She was gone. Just like that. They say she had a massive heart attack and was gone before she even fell.

I am having a very hard time dealing. I tore my house apart looking for pictures of her just to look at her. I find myself calling her house phone just to listen to her voice on the answering machine. This is the only pictures I was able to find. She was my Maid of honor at my wedding and looked just as beautiful and young now as she did back then. (14 years ago)

I'm sorry for going on and on. I have have been a member of YT for only 5 months but really feel I have gotten to know alot of you though your theads and posts. It helps me I think to let this all out. I find comfort if reading other post and it puts a big smile on my face to see all these beautiful furbabies. You all have to know that as a whole ALL of you give me much comfort! Even for those of you who don't really know me,,, I feel like I know you. And love to see new members climbing on board. I hope you all will find this site as wonderful as I do!

Thank you so much for sharing and confiding in YT. This is a great loss, and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family right now. I also hope you are able to recover from your surgery without any complications. This is a true loss of a beautiful woman who was too young to go. Apparantly God has plans for her, and now you have a beautiful angel who is looking out for you and watching from above.

I am very sorry to hear about this loss.
There are so many questions for which there are no answers. I believe we are each given a certain amount of time on earth and there is little we can do to change that fact.
Death can be so unfair..there are those who are old, sick, in pain and wishing to die, but they linger on, while a young child dies at the beginning of life.

This is where I have to use all the faith I have...faith to accept that God knows what is best and I must accept His will..I may not like it, and believe me I do not always like what comes my way. It is like when we were children and our parents told us they were doing what is best for us..I never believed it for a minute, but as I got older I understood they were right. Some day we will understand the mind of God, but not now, not in this life and it is not easy to live by faith, but we must to get through it all.

LvLaila, Yes I am doing just fine. They caught it just in time. My appendix was greatly inlarged and was very painful but surgery went just fine. Still just a little sore, but I am feeling better as far as that goes.

Oh my gosh.....This is too sad....But i do know how you are feeling even though its been 12 yrs since my Dad passed on,i think it as yesterday....
@ first i would call...& what hurt me the most was i never got another letter from him,Dad used to send me a letter every week without fail...

Monica...I just want to say that ,my prayers are with you...I lost the aunt that raised me along with my 2 cousins a few years ago...we were raised a ssiblings and they were taken away from me all in one shot...I didn't know where or whom to turn to...I am sending prayers and may God be with you

Monica...you were blessed to have such a wonderful person in your life...I agree with Pat & can't say anything more than what she said.... but I do want to tell you again how sorry I am for your loss....

What a terrible thing to happen - it sounds like she has so much love in her. I don't know why the good people are taken either ....except to say maybe heaven needed another angel and your aunt was choosen...I'm so so sorry. That was a beautiful tribute to her.

My very best friend since Kindergarden passed away last year of a massive heart attack. We always did everything together, she was always at my house it seems until we got married. I had just talked to her the night before and we were discussing my baby shower. Then that morning my mom called as my husband and I were getting ready to go to work and told my husband to tell me. They said she got up from a chair to go toward the bedroom and fell over in the floor and she was dead before the ambulance even got there. She was only 26!! I have never cried so much, and I couldn't even go up to look at her at the funeral home. Her mom came to my baby shower and she brought an outfit to me that she found as she was cleaning out her stuff from her home that she had gotten my son and I will keep it as long as I live. I just wanted you to know that I know your pain and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you do well with your recovery from your surgery. God bless

you were so lucky to have someone like that in your life, not many people get that chance. again, i'm so sorry for your loss, and i'll have you in my thoughts and prayers.

wow, I'm sorry. I know how it is to lose loved ones that are old or sick but to lose someone like the both of us in the way we did,,,,, not that death is hard to begin with but these young ones who were so full of life and loved by all who had the pleasure to meet them. It's all so unreal to me. I don't want to believe she's gone. I want to pick up the phone and call her at work. I am trying to deal the best I can but it is so damn hard!

Samantha, I am very sadden to hear about your loss as well. I am not dealing with this at all. I could not imagine losing 3 at once.

I am so greatfull for you all. I had a very hard day. Being alone for the frist time since I've learned of the news has been raelly tough. But I have to admit it was nice to be back and read some happy news and seeing pictures of all of your furbabies.

Megan, you have been going though a tough time as well. I hope your mother is feeling better. You are such a sweetheart, and my heart goes out to you!
