| Yep, Hormonal changes. Should stabilize and then improve. Consult a Dermatilogist if no improvement. Dr. Steve MD Poseur |

| My opinion, Herbals will do nothing for Acne. If it were easy to treat, no one would have it! Some females will have acne their entire life, and stress will cause flare=ups. Have you talked to your Doc about a lower dose pill....? |

| Hey! I am 33 now but when I hit 30 I got acne. Never had it before in my life. I tried a ton of stuff... but I finally went to a dermatologist. My face looks great and almost completely cleared up, my skin tone is even and I only have 2 bumps left. I had cystic acne so nothing topical (lotion you rub on) was going to clear me up. Lotions and washes do help too but may not completely clear you up ever. My skin care regimen is pretty easy and cheap and works well for me Mornings - I use Olay facial clothes for oily skin, clindomycin lotion (prescription) and Olay SPF 15 moisturizer. Nights - I use Olay facial clothes again, Clindomycin lotion and Differen gel (prescription) I took Doxacycline for 4 months and then Minocycline for 3 months. The meds did a number on my stomach and I ended up deciding to come off them. I was taking Prilosec to heal the damage so just be careful if you try meds. I HIGHLY recommend going to the Dermo. I should have done it sooner before I got scarring from the acne.

| Birthcontrol really helps clear up acne and now that your body is trying to get back into its own balance you'll experience an increase in acne. I don't think the herbals will do anything for you. If its not major acne, I'd just stick to a good cleanser and nothing that will dry out your skin too much.

| What will help a 50 year old that has been through the change and STILL breaks out? It is as embarassing now as when I was a teen! |

| Update Just a little update after a few weeks of the supplements: Things have cleared up well. Still getting a few very small pimples but nothing to get overly concerned about. I give the credit to a few things: 1) I changed the way I eat (much healthier WHOLE foods-avoided processed things) and omitted MILK-now drinking Almond or Soy Milk 2) Took the herbal supplements daily!! (I think this is huge) 3) Changed my makeup to Bare Escentuals (Bare Minerals) and AM IN LOVE! 4) Started exercising again-running a 5k on Thanksgiving and am training for it.... So I think my hormones are leveling out due to the supplements and am very happy with my complexion again. I hope this won't jinx me and I'll break out BAD tomorrow!!!!!!!! Smiles- Viv

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Its just because of the change in your hormones, it should dissapear once your hormones settle again. When I have a spot I dab a bit of tea tree oil on, seems to do the trick.
