| Who here still having tantrum? Who here still throw tantrum? I'm 24 and I still do, I lock myself in my room, throw things and scream! I just can't help it, I can't control myself. But it only happens occasionally |

| I was never allowed to throw tantrums growing up. I had a fear of getting spanked. I am almost 62 years old and I can't ever remember getting mad enough break things or throw things. I have slammed a few doors though.

| I'm 22 and have never thrown a tantrum after the age of like 4. I never got my way if I did... and I wouldnt now. Why bother? Plus, I personally think its embarrassing. |

| As a former mental health counselor I would encourage you to get involved in anger management classes and find other ways to release your frustrations before someone gets hurt...not deliberately, but throwing things can result in a shard of broken glass ending up in someone's eye (possibly your own). What would you do if you had to live with blinding someone? We all get angry...how we react to that anger is where many of the differences lie. Try leaving the immediate situation and going in and writing down what exactly it is you're angry about...such as, did someone really do something to offend and thus anger you or did they say something that stirred up negative reactions from the past. Also, write down what you'd like to say to that person...put it away, for an hour, a day...then approach that person with your written response and read it to them...there's no rule in postponing a response to an offense. Always dismiss yourself from the situation as soon as you feel your anger coming up...before you get to the point of no return, let the person know you will respond to them after you've had time to formulate a good response. It's okay to say, that angers me and I need a bit of time to think before I respond. Remember, if you're independent, you don't want to be owned by your emotions...or the person who "angered" you...as once you get out of control...you're no different from the other person/situation that angered you that much in the first place. Just an idea. Kendra |

| My thoughts exactly. No one would care if I threw a tantrum as long as they got fed and walked.

| my kinda gal Bruce always knew not to make me mad at him, because it would cost him - that was 30 years ago though. Now he would say it costs him whether I am mad or not

| I have never thrown a tantrum in my life and don't plan on starting now. If you are still throwing tantrums at 24 and throwing things and screaming I suggest you seek the advice of a health care professional.

| Um, no...I can't honestly say that I "throw tantrums" in the manner you've described. My 9 yo doesn't even do that. Oh sure, I get irritated and upset, but I deal with it like and adult or go to the gym or tanning bed or something to relieve stress and take my mind off of it. I don't react in the manner you've descirbed. |

| Nope, I haven't thrown a tantrum since I was a little kid and I am about your age (I am 22 now). I do get to see tantrums entirely too often though...babysit a 4-year-old an 2-year-old twins. Tantrums are pretty unattractive.
