| I saw a GHOST~~~~ I'm convinced that there is a ghost in our house and we have all seen him. Last night I fell asleep on the recliner and woke up to someone staring at me. I thought it was my husband so I called his name 3 times but no response. He was tall~really tall over 6 ft, thin and kind of bent over. He just stood there looking into the room. When I told my husband when he got home from work and he said that he saw the same person standing in the bedroom door 2 weeks ago! The kids have all seen someone over the years too. My oldest son was freaked out last week when we swore that he put a tshirt and socks on his bed to take a shower. When he came out they were gone. He looked everywhere and still hasn't found them! Ok~now everyone tell me now I am imaging all of this! Please............

| I don't think you are imagining things or going crazy either. I've had something similar happen..I've not told many people in fear that they would think I've lost my mind or just wouldn't believe me

I totally believe in ghosts and have no doubt that you saw something too. There are a lot of threads on YT with people who have seen things too.

| Well in your case the whole family would have to be imagining it... And since everyone has seen it I would say you have a ghost hopefully it's friendly. I had one for years I got use to it and when I moved it didn't follow I was kinda sad lol..

| You know what this means...? We're going to see Jody on an episode of "Ghost Hunters"! The only time I ever thought I was visited by a ghost was in 1969 when I was a little girl and I was sick in bed with the Hong Kong Flu & a very high fever. I was laying in bed when all of a sudden, I heard someone whisper my name into my ear but, when I turned to see who it was...nobody was there It felt so real that I told my Mom I could feel their breath as they whispered my name in my ear but...my Mom wouldn't believe me & wrote it off to the high fever...

So back to the ghost~I have a rosary and someone said garlic. I don't know.............but I'm not taking any chances. I didn't mind when I could feel the spirit of my father or grandparents but a guy standing in my door just aint cool

| There was a ghost in a house we lived at in England, actually there were two. But they were no problem. And when my husband was stationed at Bentwaters-Woodbridge his squadron had a problem with "East End Charlie" who was said to be a Luftwaffe pilot who was shot down during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Story is he was caught and burned alive by the people in Woodbridge. But he haunts the base. My husband was in charge of the radar maintenance, and they had a supply hut. They would lock it but it would always be mysteriously unlocked. "Charlie" was said to have sat on the hood of the base fire department's patrol vehicle and burned his handprint into the metal. Story is the driver ran away when "Charlie" laughed at him. "Charlie" had also been seen in his Luftwaffe uniform on the military bus that went between the twin bases. So, yes, ghosts do exist.

This is called Electronic Voice Phenomena. You can even do a google search on this so you can hear what they sound like. Sometimes it is hard to hear if you do not know what you are looking for. For the most part..they always seem to sound like they are whispering. But I must warn you..hearing ghost voices in your own home can be quite un-nerving. Before you do this..be ready to accept the fact that you may have some ghostly "squatters".

| Although there was no problem with the ghosts in the house, as soon as we realized it we moved out! We rented this house in Godmanchester (in Huntingdon, England), we agreed with the landlord that renters in two of the upstairs rooms could stay. We just had the rest of the house. One day I Bruce and I were in the living room with an Air Force buddy of his. We heard the front door open and close and someone went up the stairs. We thought it was either Linda or Peter, the people that rented the two upstair rooms. So, I went to the foot of the stairs and called "Linda", no answer, so I called "Peter" still no answer. So Bruce and his buddy suggested I run up the stairs and check (brave guys!!!), so I went upstairs and knocked on both doors. No answer. So I started to come down the stairs and something brushed by me. I smelled an odor, not unpleasant, a talcum powdery smell. it was an unnerving experience. Neighbours later told us that it was supposedly a gentleman looking for a ladyfriend who lived there many years ago and the powder odor was probably from his wig. (the town dated back to the 1200's). Then our eldest daughter who was only 5 at the time told us that a nice lady used to tell her bedtime stories. We decided it was time to find somewhere else to live.
