YT Addict | Air line dress code ?!?!?! soo i just thought this was SUPER far fetched and i HAD to share. My friend was supposed to be flying to see her boyfriend in Atlanta yesterday, and today i found out that she was still here. Apparently the airline made her get off of the plane because of what she had on. this is NO joke, this REALLY happened! i've NEVER heard of such bafoonery in my life! They told her she had to change or get off the flight. so she went and changed but they STILL refused to take off with her on the flight. Now what i don't understand is, what does what ANYONE has on have to do with a FLIGHT? this is some serious BULL. and i doubt that anything she had on was out of line. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | There was a girl thrown off Southwest airlines for wearing skimpy clothing a few years ago. http://www.travel-plan-idea.com/Kyla...t-airlines.jpg. She was able to adjust her clothing by pulling up her top and down her skirt and they allowed her back on. Here's the story. Thrown off plane for too-skimpy outfit - TODAY People - TODAYshow.com. She decided to use her fame to pose in Playboy. Kyla Ebbert National Ledger. Hope your friend doesn't go that route!

| Wow, it had to be one seriously revealing outfit. They would be considering that it would engender complaints from customers, particularly parents of innocent children, that would be so outraged, they could SUE!!! So, I don't think there is a 'dress code', but common sense doesn't let you put a company in a position where they have to protect themselves from your clothes. Personally, for curiosity sake, I'd love to see what she was wearing...must of really been something...or not..

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I know that for Southwest at least, if you are a family member of the any crew and are flying on the family tickets, they have a very strict dress code. No sweats or jeans, no open toe shoes or flip flops...

| Wow! I remember decades ago, when flying was considered a dress up mode of travel. People dressed up in Sunday go to meetin' clothes to fly.

| Yes me too. and then along came the hippies of the 60's and 70's with their torn jeans and sandals and the whole world went to hell in a handbasket. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I'm a "dress for comfort" girl myself when I fly. Since they herd you in like cattle these days the last thing I want is anything tight or clingy or will wrinkle. Especially in light of long delays on the tarmacs.

| I have never considered myself a prude, but I get sick of butt cheeks and boobs in my face on airplanes...the aisles are so narrow...and when seat number 2 or 3 wants out I get a face full... |

| And especially those that shouldn't. I'm continually astounded at what people, and particularly women THINK they look attractive in. Muffin tops are bad enough, but when it is the whole muffin and then unwrapped. Give me a break...blecchh

YT Addict | ok guys i got her to tell me what exactly happened. its not that what she had on was "too revealing" her was flying on a "buddy pass" which is in business class. i happened to see her this day, she had on a plain white t shirt, and a pair of tights. business class calls for you to be dressed on the more "casual side". she said they cleared her to let her on, she was sitting on the plane for an hour, with OTHER females wearing tights in business class. she said she was the only one bothered. she was instructed to get off and go put on something else, which was jeans, the guy told her it'd be ok... she changed and got back into her seat, but then another person came along telling her jeans weren't ok, and kicked her off. this is bananaz. |

| Was it American Airlines? Because if it was, she has a bone to pick with them. Just look at what this guy was wearing at DFW about a week ago, and they let him on the plane! This CNN blogger has the picture: CNN iReport Blog
