| My Creative Vanity... Our renter left our first floor bathroom without a sink and I had to find a solution that would cost as little as possible... That's what I came up with: the cabinet is part of an old desk (the other part is in the kitchen) and the vessel sink and the pitcher are from an adorable lavatory stand I got from a dear friend. I would have loved to use that but we do have a water heater under the sink and I wanted to hide that. All together it cost us about $200 b/c we had to buy a bathroom faucet that had all the parts we needed, some paint and a few more thingies to get the water flowing. The mirror is a combination of a $10 thrift store painting and a $8 WalMart mirror and the lamp was $12 at Lowes... |

| Sure! But I have to bring the M&Ms... LOL! I just redid our kitchen too from a 1950s blah affair to a Tuscany flavor... costs ~ $150... The floor is still a work in progress and one day I'll replace the sink and the counter top. The doors are not done yet either b/c I can't decide if I want to have them brown or white... Our ex-renter is on welfare and WAS a good friend of mine. We let her have the house for a very low rent b/c she was supposed to take care of it.... How about "design on a dime?" or better 'on a nickel' ... LOL! Last edited by Mitzis Mom; 08-02-2010 at 03:19 AM. | |
