| Best GPS for Teenager? My niece is wanting a GPS. She is really good at getting around and remembering how she got where or reading a map HOWEVER Im guessing she is wanting to expand her driving experience her Senior year () to get ready for college. Anyhoo.... I dont own one, I have a couple of friends that have one and they are all different. What is the best one you think for a teenager?

| My dad got me a Garmin when I was 17 and I still have it. It's pretty simple and works great, it needs updated though, lol. I'm sure there's better ones out there now! TomTom is always a good brand.

| I have a TomTom and I love it. I got it as a Christmas present this last year. It's is very easy to use and you can connect it to your computer so that it will update itself.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I have a TomTom. It's great - very up-to-date on new roads and whatnot. and very clear directions, along with a very accurate arrow that tells you which direction to drive in (the arrow has saved me many times when I didn't hear where the exit was! haha). Unfortunately, my GPS has problems picking up the sattelite. Sometimes it doesn't work at all, which can be scary if you don't where you are (personal experience. -__-). and sometimes doesn't recognize an address and says it doesn't exist. I would reccomend getting a slightly more expensive one (mine was a cheaper one... like $50) because they have less glitches. But I do LOVE having it.

| Our kids just use their iphone when they need a GPS, you may want to consider getting her one of these with a good data plan, that way its an "all in one" device.... it does not "talk" to you like a true GPS but you can access maps / directions all the same.... |

| We have had both the Magellan Maestro and Garmin Nuvi. The Garmin seems to be more accurate here.
