| little min pin vomits a 4 ft long worm A very good friend of mine has a little minpin. Spike is his name , Well about 2 weeks ago Spikes parents had alot of work done to there home, kitchen remodel and new carpet put down. Long about Tuesday I said Spike doesnt act like himself. Lissa his Mom, said I know I noticed that this morning, I said, is he eating? Yea a little but he does have diarrhea. I said call the vet if it continues. Wed. morning I saw him he seemed better he even ran around. Thursday in the morning she called me and said Spike needs to go to the vet when they open this morning because he just vomited a 4 foot long worm. I said WHAT! (she is sight impaired So I drive her when she needs to get around. Thats my job,) She managed to get him to the vet at 8 am. She took this 4 foot long worm in with her. They rushed him in the back along with the "worm" later to return and said it is not a worm it is a peice of carpet.1/8 in wide by around 4 ft. long. The vet said if he is eating carpet something may be wrong with him. So they kept him to do test. She called later to find out how he was doing. He had a blockage as well, yes carpet. All in all he had eaten 10 ft of carpet trim. It was the part the guy had to cut off to make it fit. After the day at the vet and many tests. They had to go in and take the rest out of his belly, Spike is home and feeling much better. I guess he started chewing on the piece of carpet and could not bite it off. He had no choice but keep chewing. Poor guy. I guess he did it while she was not at home . That carpet had been in there for almost 2 weeks. The vet said his belly was okay just scratched up and sore from it being in there so long. And so much of it. I talked to Lissa this morning she said he is much better. I guess so. I have heard it all now. WOW |
