| wanna divorce in laws. The thread about the pregnant woman just made think of my in laws. In my hubby's family there is a group that the couple do not work, one does have health issues but the other doesn't. They have a boarder who is really paying the bills with his disability ck. Two of the couple's children live with them with thier kids (dtrs do not work either). They keep coming to my hubby to borrow money for everything from electric bills to cigarettes. What did they just do? The boarder put down a down payment for a double wide trailer from is disability back pay. At the same time they tell us their news, they borrowed 20.00 (they asked for 40.00) for cigarettes. Who is paying for all the medical bills? Who is paying for their food stamps? We are. It makes me so mad. I know that one of the girls put down an older man that they know as the father of her baby so the baby "would be set for life". She actually draws social security benefits for the child. He is not the father that I know of. I can not turn her in due to family. Hubby is getting the runaround getting back 200.00 he loaned them. He know says 50.00 is the limit. Whether or not he keeps to that is another story. Tell me I am not mean to not want to lend them money. For the record I did tell hubby it can not come out of household money or my acct, only his. I hate hubby getting taken advantage of.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | sounds just like my dad's side of the family!! they all live off of the state and have never tried to do anything for themselves. My dad cut off contact with them after he got married, but recently one of my cousins friended me on facebook and just from that I can tell what kind of people they are! I think welfare/food stamps are a good thing. I just get SO annoyed when lazy people take advantage of it because then it gives the people who actually need it a bad reputation.

| It is called wealth redistribution. What's the big deal? According to the current administration, we are entitled to it. I am going to be looking for my free health care and food before the year is over. |

| What a shame! Like Megan said, it's dumb people who take advantage of the system that ruin for the ppl who really need it. People need to learn to earn things for themselves and not depend on our government to take care of them.

| I also agree that some people take advantage and it isn't fair. I would put my foot down and say no more lending until they pay him off. It's better if they get mad at him now and he will be short $200 then in a few years when he will be short a few thousands. Good luck!!

| Wow, trying to borrow $40 for cigarettes. I would have said he** no. I think you guys should cut them off altogether, how ridiculous. I don't think you are being mean, I think you are being far too generous. Unfortunately, since you are giving them money, they will keep coming back for more.
