| Help! Ok, i bought photoshop 5.0 off ebay last week and it came in the mail today. except, it wont install. It is an orginal copy, not a burned one. Shouldn't it install automatically? I went to my computer and open up every freakin file with in the cd and still no luck. Can anyone help? I need it deperately!!!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | hmmmm....do you have a program that prevents you from installing new software ? Do you need to UN-install anything to install a new program maybe ? Do you have enough memory ? Can you go to Control Panel and Click Add or Remove Programs or Windows Components ? When you open the CD do you see a SETUP file ? |

| OH, i have plenty of memory. I don't think i have to uninstall anything (if so what do think it would be). I see a setup file, but every time i click on it my computer makes noise (like it is going to do somthing) then it quits. There are actually several setup files, but they aren't compatible they have to be opened with someother programs. I didn't think about adding files under the cp, i'll try that.

Didn't you buy this program off of Ebay? I know nothing about your seller, but, IMO, something is fishy if the program is cheap- granted you're using an outdated version, but the full CS2 Suite is around $1,200, and you'll definitely want ImageReady for things like avatars. PM me if you can't get your version to work and I can copy a version of mine to send you. I used to use 7.0 and that was extremely outdated, so I can imagine that there are a lot of features that you'll be missing on 5.0. A great way to learn the program is to Google "Photoshop tutorials." I have a few that I've bookmarked that taught me a lot of the simple features of the program. If you want to PM me, I can send you the links to these. By following tutorials, you'll learn how to use the tools and then you'll experiment and learn more. Just out of curiosity- what books did you buy? | |

| they were to learn 5.0, i think idoits guide to 5.0, and another one. i can't think of the name. it's not really a big deal, i suppose the tools would be basically the same, so i guess they wont be totally worthless.
