| Food, Inc. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck, Yuck, Yuck. And Meet your Meat...even yuckier. Did anybody here think that Fast Food Nation was a good movie? I think I must have missed something with it.

| I haven't seen it but, but 'Supersize Me' was enough for me and fast food movies. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Can't wait to see it....have been talking to yorkiepuppie about it for quite a while...but it's always rented at blockbuster when I go. After seeing "Earthlings"...I'm glad to hear that "Food Inc" isn't as hard to watch, but I still have heard it's so informative and enlightening.

| I saw Food Inc...a good documentary, a horrible reality Supersize Me...I thought it was good too and it made me think I didn't rent Fast Food Nation yet because I can't take watching any more of these reality flicks for a while

Never seen Supersize Me. I guess that will be my next venture. Earthlings...I didn't end up watching the whole thing. That one is so hard.

| Have been in the Nutrition/food/medical industry for years, and what you see is pretty much the way it has been for years. Very scary! I try to explain to people what I have seen, and they think that I am lying, or worse, a quacker! I generally make everything from scratch with organic ingredients, and try to buy meats that are kosher as they are as close to "humanely" killed as possible. I believe if people actually saw the reality of our "farmed meats", they would not eat for a week! Have never seen either movie, as I have lived it, and it was not pretty the first go around! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh man...I had posted thinking this was about a comedy or something. I couldn't watch but a minute of a UTUBE video - I'm aware of this but there's absolutely no way I could watch it. I've tried to go vegan but I guess I'm not strong enough to put that effort into food but it's really horrible the way the industry is. I know it could be more humane.....and the excuse would be it would cost too much. |

| I saw Supersize Me and thought it was good but I can not see the Food Inc movie or else I would probably never eat again. Supersize Me was good to me because I don't eat any fast food so it didn't bother me but if I saw something about meat or milk or something I would not eat again. So I KNOW I won't be watching it.

| Watching Super Size Me now. After seeing some of the other videos online, I did stop eating meat and poultry (for the most part...still do gelatin, etc.). I wish this stuff would get as much attention as puppymills.

I see totally where you're coming from....you'd think in this day and age somethings would change and these 'farms' would be forced to act in a humane manner. I don't know how anyone could ever work there. Just watching seconds of this stuff gave me nightmares years ago when I saw my first video.... I can remember feeling physically ill and crying. It's hard to get these images out of your head and you're so right about the guilt. You never look at 'food' the same way. It did that to me too and still does. I pretty much eat just to keep going these days and my staple is pasta.

| I think it's possible to have humane meat option, it is just going to be much for expensive and hard to find. And buying from local farmers is probably best, but some people just don't have access to this kind of thing. So sad.

| Okay, that movie was so gross (as I eat my ice cream, peanut butter cups and drink some Coke).
