| Has anyone read Shutter Island? If you have can you tell me what you think is up with the ending? I am so bad at interpreting things- can anyone tell me what's going on. |

| I didn't read the book but I saw the movie a couple weeks ago. The ending was really confusing. I have no clue how that movie ended.

| ya but what about that last scene? Where he is back to talking to "chuck". I think I have decided that he wasn't "cured" he lapsed back the next day- was talking to "chuck" and the shiny metal thing he saw was what they were going to use to do the brain surgery. Didn't Chuck nod to the doctor? hmmm.... i hate books that make you think AFTER you are done reading .. but man what a GOOD book. |

| I didn't read the book either, but I did see the movie. I hated the ending... it was predictable! I mean that in the sense that I would have preferred it if they would have made him "think" that it was all him in his mind, and then at the very end after they convinced him, that it was all a set up and they got him in the end, that would have been a way better ending!

| BTW, this is exactly how I felt about 'The Lovely Bones!' Did any of you read that? I didn't waste my time on the movie because I was so upset about the ending... it leaves you VERY unsatisfied!
