| I don't have a suggestion for you but I wanted to write that I have heard too many horror stories about these types of heaters so please (and I am sure you will) do extensive research before getting one. We got rid of ours and are just dressing more warmly. This is just my opinion....but I did want to share it with you.

| I think space heaters are fine, if you use them wisely. We have one that shuts off if knocked over or even tilted. We keep it in the middle of the room away from cloth - we don't have any curtains. We never leave them on when we leave the room, we always turn it off so that it is never on unless we are right there in the room. They also make some that are "cool" to the touch, so no one gets burned. You just have to be very careful with them.
