| Media and kids I had to watch this video for class, and I found it to be very interesting. I know many of you are parents, or planning on be parents, so I thought I would post it. The video is broken into 7 parts, about 9 minutes long each and I know that's a lot of time, but you don't have to watch them all at once. Let me know what you think! Consuming Kids: Watch Online!

| Nobody?? Well I thought it was crazy that marketing companies filmed kids while they were going to the bathroom && taking a bath! That is just wrong (and what is wrong with their parents?) And I thought it was interesting that Baby Einstein isn't good for kids. I definitely believed that it could be good for kids and babies.

| Some parents are ok with spoiling their kids. They want there kids to have everything. It's always up to the parents to control them or not. I'm sorry but in my case my kids have an input but I have the last words. So marketers can keep on marketing and parents can keep deciding who's the boss, them or kids.

| I only watched the first part but I will be watching the rest later. I am not surprised at all with what they are saying. Parents really let their children have so much control over what they want and get. I am not a parent myself but as a teacher, I see so much of it. It really is not good for children to watch so much TV to begin with. Children need more time playing outside or doing something hands-on, especially at the younger ages. Otherwise, their brain does not develop the way it should. I also have read studies about Baby Einstein and was aware of the danger it puts kids in--particularly infants and toddlers. There is just too much going on in those videos.
