| $25 got me 1/3 a tank of gas!!!! Just had to vent. I can remember when $25 would fill up my car twice( I wasnt driving a truck then but I needed a dramatic statement ) When I started driving a little over 8 years ago gas was $.88 and now its $3.09 a gallon. What was it when YOU started driving?

| Well since I am in Canada, we are in litres instead of gallons so trying to convert, lol When I started to drive it was 36 cents a litre which is about 3.78 gallons so it would make it around $1.36 and that was in the mid 80's. Gas here now if you convert in american gallons and dollars, I am now paying about $4.33 US dollars a gallon. OUCH!!! Considering Alberta has one of the biggest supplies of oil in the world it is sad. |

| Yeah, I remember charging a friend in HS $5/week for carpooling and was making bank! Now I drive a truck, a DIESEL at that, and I am paying 3.49/gallon! It takes about $100 to fill up!!! Unbelieveable!

| When I started driving gas was about .49 a gal. The only reason I remember that is because it used to cost me a little over 5 bucks to fill up my car. Now days 5 bucks wouldn't get you around the block!

| My dad said that it was $0.29 when he started driving, until the oil embargo and everyone pretty much had a heart attack when it went up to $0.89 and then $1.00
