| Numbness after dentist I went to the dentist to get 2 cavities filled and I have the numbness. I haven't had a cavity since I was a small child and completely forgot what it would feel like. I didn't eat before going, and I'm starving now but can't feel my face or tongue to eat, lol. Any suggestions that will help the numbness go away faster?

| Milkshake helped a lot. I couldn't taste it really, but it helped with hunger and numbness.I was blessed with good teeth, thankfully! I got cavities from not being able to floss all the way in the back (I still have my wisdom teeth), thats a skill in itself.
