| Good Morning! Sun Dec 5, 2009 Hi there! Good Morning to ya!!!! Haven't been on YT very much lately..... but the Christmas Season really keeps me on my toes!!! Today, I am hoping to get some of my wrapping done! I haven't gotten all my gifts bought, but a majority of them. It is really difficult to buy gifts for my son-in laws this year..........a tighter budget and no ideas!! Any suggestions for gifts about $100? This evening, Shelby, Seymour, and I will be making a trip to see Santa for pictures!!! Hopefully they will turn out as good as I am hoping! I will try to share them with you as soon as I get them. I have heard that this Santa Claus looks as close to "real" as he can get!!! I am hoping to add to our "Yorkie family" after the holidays...... I just am too busy to think about it right now. Hopefully things will calm down again in January. It is exciting to think about getting a new Sis or brother for Shelby & Seymour!!!! Well, time to start the coffee!!! ......by the way, here is a little coffee tip for ya............ Take 1/2 a cinnamon stick (the kind that is ok for human consumption, not the potpourri type) and break it in 2 pieces. Put it in the coffee filter with the coffee grounds and brew................. it is wonderful!! Your coffee still tastes like normal coffee...... but when you lift that cup up to drink it...... you smell the aroma of cinnamon. Enjoy!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Good morning!!! I need to get my act together and get my shopping done. Finances are definitely much tighter this year, hubby just retired early on Thursday. It's so much fun to think about a new baby.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Good Morning ! Houston had SNOW yesterday !! What a blast it was to see - we set a record for the earliest snow ever in the history of the city but you'd think we had 10 feet the way the news is talking about it I've been here over 25 years now and this is only the 3rd time I've seen it ...I grew up on the east coast and don't miss the cold weather but yesterday was pretty cool. Today it's just plain freezing - the fun is gone The strange thing is the news is all about the roads - I keep thinking of the homeless and the poor animals that are out there in the cold. |

| Good morning! You know, you gave me a little heart attack...it's SATURDAY, December 5. I thought, "OMG I lost an entire day!!!" LOL The sad part is I had to check my computer and my calendar before I could convince myself it's Saturday. Sounds like things are exciting in your life! Will be watching for you to post pics of your visit to Santa! I buy a grand total of 3-4 gifts, all for people at work, so I usually take care of it the night before I need them. I kind of miss the days of shopping for lots of people, but my wallet is much happier now. I think I miss wrapping day the most. Christmas carols on the radio, maybe a fire in the fireplace, all the christmas lights lit and wrapping away. Sigh.... May not even decorate this year...some years I go all out, other years I'm happy with the way my home looks and don't want to make the mess. This is feeling like one of those years...

and yup - it is freaking COLD. The snow was beautiful - half the city shut down yesterday work wise (we even got off early and it was wonderful) but - today the roads are iced and now the wrecks are happening. I'm watching the news and every 5 minutes there's another accident - one guy just whacked a cop car who was stopped for another accident. It's SATURDAY and the the freeways are getting jacked due to all the wrecks. I'm not moving till the sun warms it up a bit My girls are glued to both me and my son even in clothes and blankets and I look like the Michelin Man I'm dreading what Cheri's hair will look like when I take of her jammies | |

I got a pencil tree (borrowed) & PERFECT for an apartment but it's pretty sad...no lights yet .....and nope - not in the mood yet either but the snow did help yesterday. Plus the Christmas Cards I've been doing for some of you is helping me get in the holiday mood. now if I could just win a small lottery I'd be a happy woman ! I wish Santa was real for adults

I told someone the other day that if I died the police would not need to leave tape around my body because with 6 dogs they outline my whole body at night..down my side up between my legs ..down again and then up the other side. Of course I cannot move or someone gets a little pissy and lets me know I am distribing her sleep..give me a break. They really are the "ME" generation. It is fun to watch bumper cars on tv when they has been an ice storm...stay curled up on the couch with your slanket and just relax.. Big Hugs,

| OMG, this thread made me laugh! V--you need a SNUGGIE! Remember--"blankets are OK, but they can slip and slide...." I actually bought a couple of collegiate snuggies as gag Christmas gifts--a KU snuggie for my dad, and an LSU snuggie for my oldest friend and former roommate at LSU. GEAUX TIGERS! I have to say, that purple and gold LSU snuggie is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. They make snuggies for dogs now, but don't waste your money--I checked them out at Bed Bath and Beyond last week and they are a jip... Here's a tip to get in the Christmas spirit---get some nice balsam-scented candles and keep them going. It's wierd, but the scent really puts me in a holiday mood. Have some hot cocoa with whipped cream on top (this is key--whipped cream), snuggle with your furbutts, and I am telling you, that's all you need. Having said that, I have not done ANY SHOPPING (except for the aforementioned snuggies, which I got online). Believe it or not, I am 51 years old and this is the FIRST Christmas I am not going to see my parents. So I need to send some presents their way. And Cindy--you know you and your gang are welcome here, right? Come on down! We are going to Tumamocari on Christmas Eve. It is south of Tubac. Remember when we went to Tubac and you bought that cowboy boot bird house??? |
