A little of both is what I do. Because I am vegetarian, I make up a tofurky, and vegetarian gravy for myself and take it to my parents house and then to my In laws house so they don't have to worry about my meal, they cook for the rest of the family

Every year my friends and i have a potluck party. This year i will be making cheesecake and cream corn. yummy.....

We usually have the party before Thanksgiving day so that everyone can be with their family on Thanksgiving day. My family usually doesnt do anything big on Thanksgiving. Ill prolly go home and have a quiet dinner w/ my mom and dad on Thanksgiving..

Then when my dad goes to bed, my mom and i will hit the stores for Black Friday lol.....

We usually go out...... I have a huge extended family and there isn't a house big enough to handle us all AND a Thanksgiving meal. We always eat at a wonderful place, LOTS of traditional Thanksgiving dishes and some that aren't so traditional. Something for everyone....... only regrets...No leftovers!

My Girls will be coming home and bringing the furbabies! I cook the Turkey and stuffing and everyone does all the other stuff! I have my gravy boat out on the table already and am thinking of how the table will look all set. Dh is in charge of potatoes and Pies!

We go to my brother's house every Thanksgiving . . .my yearly contribution is green been casserole . . .

Everyone has been bringing their same side dish for years . . it's a tradition. Also, one of my nephews brings a dvd to watch after dinner.

I usually tend to enjoy Thanksgiving because it's not at my house . . .but before you know it . . .my turn and nightmare is Christmas Eve . . .we are going to try something different this year . . .it's just a crazy mad house and stressful . . .hopefully our new plan will make it less aggravating!

The family will be coming to my house. It's become a tradition and my nieces and nephew look forward to it every year. I do the majority of the cooking, but everyone contributes. There will be 15 of us this year.

going to relatives for Thanksgiving dinner. I always take my own food (Vegan) like a baked sweet potato and some kind of tofu dish! (They usually have sweet potatoes, but put marshmallows on top and butter.)

I will be doing some of the cooking this year for my family and my in-laws. We're planning on about 12 people! My brother-in-law is frying a turkey, I am smoking a small turkey and getting a Honey Baked ham. I'll make most of the veggie sides and probably Key Lime pie for one of the deserts. Thank goodness my two brother-in-laws and my husband love to cook so I will have plenty of help.

Hubby , Pasquale and I plan on going to my parents house for Thanksgiving....its usually very low key which i like....i'll take a nap while the guys watch football...and then i'm doing an overnighter at work.

Thanksgiving has really become one of my favorite holidays ....Christmas has just become too materialized.

Of course we'll have turkey and I make a mean pumpkin pie with freshly whipped cream of course.

My family on my dad's side always reserves a few tables at a chinese restaurant. We "kids" get our own table (we're kids b/c we don't have our own kids yet, but most of us are late 20s early 30s!) and order whatever we want, and we don't have to pay OR talk to the adults! HAHAHAHA! It's great! can't wait!
