| Netbook question My daughter asked for a computer for Christmas. I thought she was freakin nuts asking for something like that But I saw the little netbooks, and they are just too cute! She uses our desktop to look up info for school projects, and such. She also likes to go to Webkinz, and game sites alot. My question is, will this little thing work ok on game sites like that? Thanks for your help!!

| Mini I got a Dell Mini for myself but my daughter ended up taking it. She's 5 and goes to the sites like Webkinz, Noggin, etc and it works well. I think they are made for kids because I cannot type on it, I feel so cramped up. I think that it would be a good thing to get your daughter. It's small and she can take it anywhere. I did get an extended warranty on mine which I'm glad I did since my 5 yr old uses it all the time. |

| I have wondered about the netbook myself. I have questioned whether games could be played on it or not. That takes more "stuff" than just surfing the web.

| These are great for basic games and you can put them in your purse. But they do not run heavy games with lots a graphics. I think it's a good deal if you just want basic computer for basic needs like chatting on YT

| We just got an HP Mini 1100 from Costco for around $298.00 as our second computer (our main computer is an iMac). The Mini works great. It has a 10" screen, but it's amazing how easy it is to see. We don't do games tho, so I can't help with that question. But we do Facebook and the games on there. & my husband uses it for his job work at home. It seems really powerful. It's very fast. |

| If your daughter is a serious gamer the netbook is not the best computer for her. As one of the above poster stated it won't keep up with games that have lots of graphics |
