| Is the inside of your washing machine dirty?? Ok, I do alot of laundry, about 2-3 loads everyday. I just noticed that the top part of the drum, where the water doesn't reach is dirty (embarass ) Does anyone elses washing machine look like this on the inside .? It is a fairly new washer only about 2 years old or so. I bleach whites...the clothes are clean, but I don't know how to clean the inside. Maybe I will have to get in there and do a little hand scrub. It looks like it is stained!! Do you clean the inside of your washer??

| Hmmmmmm I don't remember seeing anything like that in mine. I do clean around the frame inside due to detergent spills, etc. The drum is always clean. Do you have hard water? Maybe it's stained like a toilet bowl does from hard water. Only a thought. |

| Your right it could be. When I wipe it with my fingers, it's like stained. I always wipe it down like you said because of spills and such. But I never noticed the inside to be like this. It's just the top part where the water doesn't touch. The rest of the inside drum is white. I don't know???

| No need to be embarassed.... if you saw mine, you wouldn't be. I actually had a scummy layer on the top of the drum in my washer. The same kind of buildup you see maybe in the liquid fabric softener dispenser thingy. I just used a scubbing pad and some Clorox Clean Up to get it clean again and now I will be more watchful and wipe it down before it gets so bad.

| I've seen in Walmart, by the laundry detergent, they have a cleaner for the machine. It is kind of expensive and it won't clean where the water doesn't reach. Maybe I will try one of those magic erasers.
