| Navy Life??!! Well I just got sad news this morning. My boyfriend e-mailed me to let me know he goes on sea trials fri though Nov. I knew it was comming up but I tried not to dwell on it. Of course what happens but I check my e-mail at work and read it this morning. I have already been in tears and all I want to do is go home fly up to see him till he leaves. (for those of you that don't know Eric is in the Navy stationed in Nofolk while I am in Fl looking for a job in VA but here getting money and benifits at a job I can't stand . We've been dating for 3 yrs and known each other for about 10...I wanting a ring but none yet). He told me that I need to get use to the Navy life and I am kind of, just wish I lived there so I could at least see him before he goes on sea trials.

| I know how hard it is dating somebody in the military. I've done it for about 10 years now. and I don't think I'll ever get used to saying goodbye to my husband!!! Do some fun things with friends or by yourself (it's the perfect time to do girly things ) to keep your mind occupied. It will make time go a lot faster. Please feel free to pm me if you need to vent. Hang in there |

| I wish you and your boyfriend only the best...Been there done that! And I don't wish those days on anyone because I know how hard they are. I have been married 26 years and my husband was in the Navy for the first 4 of them. The first year we were married in May and he left in August for a 6 month cruise which turned into being 10 months. He arrived home 2 days before our first wedding anniversary. I can relate to what your feeling right now believe me!

| My father is retired military, and I know how hard it is. 'We' were stationed in the Middle East when I was growing up. On other occasions, I had to stand on the tarmac and say goodbye to my father not knowing if or when he would be home... It might not be popular opinion, but from the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone in the military branches and their family/loved ones for the sacrifices they make both here and abroad. I enjoy my freedoms - things we take for granted such as being able to discuss opposing opinions on something as seemingly innocent as a Yorkie forum. As a woman I can have an education, a job, a family and even be able to walk (hey, I can DRIVE if I want!!) down the street and not have to cover my face or worry about accidentally taking a few steps in front of a man... Believe me when I tell you that some countries - even today - don't allow such freedoms. I applaud you, your beau, his family and everyone that has the courage to make such huge sacrifices so that I can do as I want and not end up in jail or worse. Thank you. My thoughts and prayers are with you in such a difficult time. Please know that your sacrifices are appreciated and not in vain.
