Therapy Dog Donating Member | Does anyone have the Nike+iPod Sports Kit (sensor)?? OMG I love this little gadget...it's so much fun to keep track of your running/walking. If you have an iPod nano, iPhone, iTouch this is so cool. You put the sensor into your shoe if you have the Nike shoes that support the sensor but I don't but bought a $10 gadget that attaches to any tennis shoe and you can use it. I found mine on Amazon.com. You have fun with the site and you keep track of your miles/runs/walks. Hehehe you can even make yourself a mini me just like you do with the Wii fitness part. You can even set up mini challenges with people from all over the world. It would be cool if we got a bunch of YT people to do our own running/walking challenges. | I love this little thing. I have started running again and forgot how much fun it was to track my runs. I am actually on my second unit. The battery died in my first sensor. If we can get a few YT members together I would be willing to doing a challenge. Just don't smoke me too bad keep in mind I am a beginner - again. BTW I am toying with the idea of doing a half in Mrylte Beach in February. If I fall too far behind in my training I may end up doing the 5K. (5K is the longest I have ever ran!!!) |

Hey how long did you first sensor last? I'm just curious as I know it's a big production to shut them off so mine just sits on my shoe (I don't have the Nike shoe that fits the sensor as I bought one of those holders off Amazon.com and they fit on my Nike Rifts). I just like it because it's fun and I track my own progress. Let's see if we get any more peeps on here that have it. I have to believe we can't be the only ones..lol. Happy running/walking!! Let me now if you run that 5k

| I think my sensor lasted about a year or so. I did buy one pair of the Nike(plus) shoes but I didn't care for them. I bought this little thing from ebay that hooks the sensor to your laces. Have you heard of the couch to 5k program. It is 8 weeks long and has short jogging intervals mixed with walking. I found it really helpfull and you can even find podcast to use. I have been "out" of running for a while and now I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I always found the nike(plus) to be a great motivation. I was/am still wanting to lose 10-15 pounds but it hasn't happened yet. |
