Donating YT 7000 Club Member | My brother leaves for college tomorrow My older brother, Kevin, leaves for college tomorrow!! I am so sad, but still excited for him. He's going to be playing college football and he'll be wrestling when that season comes around. We had a little BBQ tonight so some close friends & family could say goodbye. We're driving him down to Virginia tomorrow - we'll go out to a nice dinner and everything. Then Friday morning he checks in and then it's time to say goodbye. There were a lot of tears tonight (as I'm sure there will be on Friday!!) but he is SO excited, so that makes it a little better. These two pictures are from his high school graduation night.

| Aww Megan, we went thru this with my oldest niece. She left a few weeks back to move to Missouri for college. It's so sad to say goodbye but you are still excited for their new adventure. Its funny thing about brothers..... As much you want to choke them at times, you love them all the same Big hugs for you! And think of this as a plus for you.... maybe he will bring home some college hunks during his breaks Another plus of having an older brother

| Congratulations to your brother. What an exciting time in his life. Time to be a big boy. My daughter just graduated and she is staying home (thank God..I don't think I would have survived her leaving...p.s. don't tell her that). I know alot of her friends are leaving very soon and she will have a hard time letting her friends go. I wish your brother much success in his future. May he stay safe and be smart.

| Megan, I can see why you would sad because there is a void for awhile but then you will be visiting and hearing all that he is learning and the fun he is having and things will change from sadness to joy for him. Gotta feeling when you and your family get back from one trip to see him, you will be planning your next. Give him lots of hugs and try not to be too sad. Hugs to you. Joan

| It's such a bittersweet time isn't it? Your so excited for him but don't want to see him go. All these emotions mixed together. Give it a week and you'll be saying Kevin who? Only kidding of course. With the internet here today you'll be chatting away daily with him, keeping up on his coming's and going's. How exciting for him, college football and wrestling. I wish him only the best in the next 4 yrs of his college life. Hang in there Megan it will be you before you know it and we'll be wishing you good luck and reading you the riot act before you leave. Good luck to you Kevin and kick butt on the football field. (can you tell I'm from a family of football fanatics) |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Thanks guys. Kevin appreciates the words of encouragement!! Tomorrow's the day!! We got to the hotel this afternoon. We went around town (it's a DARLING little town called Buena Vista and the campus sits atop a hill looking over the town), and we went up the dorms to help him get set up (his roommate is HOTT ). He has to be at school at 9 AM for practice, and my parents have a meeting with his coach at 11. So I'll be saying goodbye before he leaves for practice then just chilling at the room.

| This is an exciting time for your brother! Wishing him the best of luck, both in school and football! My son plays varsity football and baseball. He really wants to go baseball for college. I took him on some college visits this summer and I am dreading being in the position you are in tomorrow -- having to leave him at the college and come home without him. Keep in touch. He will probably be homesick even if he is too big and tough to admit it. Those occasional cards and more frequent emails will keep him going. Just think, maybe he will bring home some good looking friends on break!
