| Divorce, Poopanut, and the big move back home... Mike and I are divorcing. I am actually quite happy about this. I've wanted out for a while now. I just want to live my life MY WAY for a change. Horrible news...my beloved Poopanut passed away. The day after I told Mike I was leaving, she had a seizure and passed away on the way to the vet's office. I am still in shock. I just can't believe she's gone. She is the only thing Mike and I argued over. We both wanted custody of her. Other news, the kids and I packed up and moved back to my hometown and in with my grandmother temporarily. It is so....WEIRD....moving back home. Finding a job is proving to be difficult. Other than that, the kids and I are HAPPY (but incredibly BROKE LOL). We sang and laughed all the way here. All of us just feel like a huge heavy weight has been lifted off our shoulders. And there you have the past couple months in a nutshell. LOL I have missed ya'll. Hugs, ~Aerrica

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Wow Aerrica....I'm so sorry for all you've been through. I'm so sorry about The Poopanut, she has always been one of my favorites bc of all the stories you told about her. That's so incredibly sad . Had she ever had a seizure before? Big hugs, hon. I'm really sorry about the changes your family has to go through, but your attitude is amazing and you sound ready for a fresh start in life. I will miss those MIL stories, I have to say . Hang in there, we're all here for you!

| No, she'd never had a seizure before. Have no idea why she had this one. I miss her like crazy. It KILLED me to box up her things...her blankies, her clothes, her special pink spoon... Her stuff was the hardest to box up. I am SO very ready for a fresh start. Despite everything going on, I feel calmer now than I have in years. The job issue is scaring me a little bit. It didn't occur to me until after I started to work on a resume that I have been a housewife for 10 years and have no experience in anything other than raising kids and dogs. LOL It will be OK though. I have faith and confidence that everything will work out just the way its supposed to. (FYI that is Aerrica speak for I am scared sh*tless and trying to put on a brave front...lol) Still, even with all the scary stuff it feels so flippin' good to be FREE!

| Welcome back. It sounds like you have man changes ahead but it will all work out. Just keep a positive attitude. My sister was with her son's father for over 10 years and she just asked him to move out. It's a tuff situAtion but as you said it is all for the better.

| It is a HUGE relief! Now the kids and I are doing the things that WE want to do. We've found a new church that we think we are going to love, I am becoming more active in the community (and working on getting the kids more involvled). I'm looking forward to getting my own apartment and decorating it the way I want. (decided to go with a blue/brown/cream/white beach theme throughout) We just have lots we are looking forward to and its actually a JOY to wake up the morning now.

| wow... uuummm... wow! Aerrica, I am sooo sorry to hear about poopanut My heart is broken for you. I know how much she meant to you. I lost my little boy Stuart right after my ex-fiance and I split (1 month later), nothing like kicking you when you're already down. I do have a feeling though, as tragic and heartbreaking as it was for me, he was the one thing that would have linked my ex to me and I think things were supposed to go that way so that my ex would be out of my life with no strings attached. Maybe there is a greater, bigger reason for your tragic loss, something that is not quite clear yet. (((HUGS))) I never got the impression you were so unhappy with your husband, but I am glad you did what you had to do. Its so hard to take that step, but can feel so liberating. You are a strong woman, you will land on your feet in no time. Take care of yourself and your kids, this may not have hit them yet. I wish you all the happiness in the world in your 'new life'.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | I am so sorry to hear all that you have been through and especially upon hearing about your precious Poopanut. I joined a month after you and I always remember your stories and just reading her name made me laugh. She will always be in your heart. Maybe that was her own way to say don't fight over me mom and dad - I'll make the decision for you. I've been through divorce and funny of all the material things we had we also fought over a Yorkie at the time..not Izzy but I had two boys. I wish you and your kids nothing but good luck and hope you find a job soon.
