| How to Scare Cats Away? Not looking for anything lethal, but the neighboring cats always come to our back patio and start chewing up our cushions and stuff. Is there any stuff we can use to scare them away? Or just keep them away from our patio? Thanks! |

I've seen things that you can get at Petsmart, I'm not sure how well they work. Maybe even try a spray bottle full of water or a water hose and squirt them every time they come up. Good Luck. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

| We get neighborhood cats on our back porch and I squirt them with a squirt gun. After a couple of times they just quit coming in your yard. I use one of those big super soakers.

i can't really think of anything, my cats aren't scared of anything, maybe if you got a motion sensor that makes a really lound noise when the cats go bye, thats all that would scare mine....

| My neighborhood has a serious cat population, and Mia thinks it's her duty to chase them back across the street. VERY dangerous as she's taken to darting over again. DD's science teacher said Mothballs will do the trick, so, as soon as I get the chance, I'm outlining my yard in mothballs. Rock yards here in NM and these cats are using my rocks, my tree planters and everywhere as litter boxes. Of course, Mia loves the snacks! ICK!! I'll let you know if the mothballs have any effect. |

| please dont super soak them, and it shouldnt sound like fun, naughty naughty, if someone soaked my cats like that id be out looking for them to do it back. cats hate orange peel sudden light and pepper, if you catch them in the act clap your hands or make a noise they will soon run away. wendy and rosie |

| I could lend you my Lab's for week...They are all bark and no bite but their bark would sure put the fear of God in them! We used to have a huge problem with cats using the rocks by our pool mind you as their litter areas but now with the big dogs they hop over the fence and it's like shoot wrong place and back over they go! I don't allow my cats to roam freely and in my opinion people that do are as bad as people who let their dogs take a big poo on your yard and leave it. It's one thing if you live in the country or aren't in close distance to the next house but here in AZ we are literally right on top of one another and it just seems so irresponsible to open your door and let a beloved pet roam with the chance it may never return.
