| What should I think about this?? I had my job interview at the Icing on Saturday and it seemed to go great. The girl told me that she really liked me and that I was her favorite that she had interviewed. After the interview, she gave me a piece of paper with a web address on it to do a little survey/quiz thing online. It was just basically about what would you do if you saw an employee stealing...blah blah. She told me that they would call me on Monday but to call her after I did the quiz, which I did. She said okay and that she would look at it but she was sure I passed. Well, it's Monday and I didn't hear from them. 2 of my past employers are people I still talk to so I called one of them and asked if anyone has called about me and they said that no one had. Do you think maybe they just weren't able to get around to it today? Or do you think this means that I didn't get the job after all? I have job interviews tomorrow and Wednesday but I was really hoping to get that job. Am I worried too early or do you think they could still be interested and there is a good reason why they haven't called yet? Wow, finding a job is stressful! lol. Opinions are welcome!! Thanks guys!

| In the retail world things tend to get a bit hectic. There is a huge possibility that they were busy and didnt get around to it. When I left the interview for my current job they said they'd call the next day. Guess what? The next day came and I received no phone call, but about a week later the manager called and said she didn't forget about me and asked if I could come in the next day for training. I would definitely go to your other job interviews just in case you didnt get the job. Dont think negative and let us know how it works out. GL

| I'd call to check in. Show them you want the job...and it will stop the agony of waiting and wondering.

| Yes, I'd call, too. In the past, I've called with the excuse that my phone was on the blink and I was worried that I may have missed their call / message. If nothing else, it puts them on the spot - and teaches them to keep their word!

| Thanks for the advice! My mom also told me to call but I wasn't sure until I read all of your posts so I did give them a call. She told me that the district manager was coming in today and that she was going to show her my application and she would call me back. She called me about 3:00 today and set up an interview with the district manager for tomorrow so I hope that goes as well as the first interview!

| I need some more opinions! Okay, so I walked into the store and the assistant manager greeted me and told me that the other manager had been talking about me and was excited about me. She then told me that the district manager wasn't there yet and that she should be there shortly. I said okay and chatted with her and looked around the store. She decided to call and find out where she was. She got the DM on the phone and told her that I was there and the DM told her to hand me the phone because she was just going to do the interview over the phone. That really threw me for a loop. I feel like my interview didn't go that great because of it. #1 I am not a big phone talker #2 I HATE talking on the phone in front of other people. It was really tough because you can't read peoples emotions over the phone and it feels so impersonal. I was standing there in middle of the store answering personal questions in front of the assistant manager and customers. I don't think I did near as good of job with this interview as the first because I felt so uncomfortable. The interview with the store manager was great and I even had a great chat with the assistant manager before I talked to the DM on the phone. Does anyone think I still have a good chance of getting the job based on the interview with the store manager and the fact that I got along great with her and the assistant manager? Also, would anyone else be bothered by the fact that the DM didn't show up and did the interview over the phone? I feel like maybe I am making too big a deal out of it but it is really bothering me. What do you think?

| I think the DM should base her decision heavily on what the store manager thinks. You were caught off guard and it's understandable if you were nervous/not your best. IMO you should still have an excellent chance. Good luck!

| I think if the manager and asst manager want you, then you will get the job. They are the ones you will be actually working with and I bet the DM lets them decide. I think it's all just a process they must go through and the on-site managers make the call on who they get. Good luck!!
