| PLEASE HELP! What should I wear for job interview tomorrow? I need some help because I am stressing out about this! I have a job interview at The Icing at the mall and I have no idea what to wear. I dropped off some applications at different stores today and figured that they would call me to set up an interview. The plan was to buy an interview outfit this weekend but when I dropped off my application at The Icing, the girl asked me if I could come in tomorrow for an interview. I feel like everything that I have is either too casual or too dressy. The dressy stuff is ruled out because I would look like I was going to a fancy restaurant or the prom. lol. So here are my options: 1. A pair of skinny jeans (the kind that are tighter around the legs at the bottom) and a nice shirt with a pair of flats or heels. 2. A pair of white shorts (not denim.. more on the dressy side) with a nice shirt and flats. 3. I do have ONE casual summer dress but I wore it when I took in the application... should I wear it again and hope that she doesn't remember? I don't have any dressy pants or skirts. Am I making too big of a deal out of this since it's just a mall job? Any advice is greatly appreciated

Thor's Human Donating Member | I think a good rule of thumb is to dress a little bit more nicely than the people who will be interviewing you. I don't know the store 'The Icing'. What do they sell?

| Okay, well I've worked in a bunch of stores in the mall so I can definitely help you. I wouldn't wear a dress nor would I wear the same shirt you wore today. I would wear a dark pair of jeans with a black shirt. In stores like icing the dress code is very open. You can never go wrong with dark jeans and a black shirt. I would wear some accessories since it is a accessory store. IAlso, if you have a nice pair of black heels I would wear them. Good Luck!!

| No shorts! What ever you wear make sure it is clean & well ironed. Be sure to thank the person for the opportunity to interview. Smile & GOOD LUCK!! |

| Thank you for all the advice My interview went great!! The girl that interviewed me was super sweet and she said that she really liked me and that I was her favorite out of everyone that she has interviewed so far. I'm about 99% sure I have this job and I am really excited because I think I will get along great with my co-workers. I'm also happy because I need this extra income to get Tobie neutered and I want to be able to afford to get all the blood work and stuff done before the surgery. Thanks again everyone

| I hope you get the job too! What did you end up wearing? I would have voted for the skinny jeans/nice top/heels option It's a trendy, young store, so you need to fit the part.
