| miniature bulldogs I'm looking to buy a miniature bulldog. I heard they don't have as many health problems as the full sized english bulldogs. Does anyone own a miniature? Do they have just as bad health problems? What are their health problems. What are the bad sides of owning them. Any info anyone can give me would be appreciated. I want to do my research so I don't get stuck with LOTS of vet bills and a bad breeder!

| Mini breeds just from my point of view .. as i breed a mini breed a breed that has been down sized i know that my breed and other breeds like mine Toy and mini Podles like mini and toy aussies have more health problems than less. the way to down size is selective breeding and with this you cut alot of the standard size gene pool out so there is a lot of line breeding and inbreeding i had to travle 1000's of miles to find my stock that were not related in the first four lines and it was hard if you breed two lines that are know to have a bite problem you have a serious bite problem i wont breed my mini and toy aussies with out a three year wait to see what im dealing with and i am quick to snip off the family jewles if i see an issue line breeding is not a bad thing if you know what your doing but how many ppl breed and try to deal with genes that know extreemly little i would sudgest that what ever you do make shure health clearences are done all test that would be done on a standard should be done on a toy or a mini of any breed and since this is a new breed to minitureize be extreemly careful good luck cant wait to see pics |

| It is very hard to find sites about mini bulldogs! All the ones I found said they had less health problems.. but I don't know.. Bulldogs are expensive.. and I read that some peoples have died within the first 6 months.. and have SO many health problems... that the vet bills end up being even more expensive than the dog itself. I love their look though.. and my husband has always wanted one. I think I read that mini's get between 20-40 lbs.
