| Need to vent i asked one of my former coworker to write a letter of reference for me a week ago. Well she just told me that she have not written one yet and for me to write it myself. She will just sign it. ARgh. I am so angry. Why didn't she say no in the first place so I can ask another person. Now I have no letter of reference and the due date is tomorrow. thanks for letting me vent. |

| It's pretty common to have to write your own letter of reference and the other person just reads it, and signs. I prefer to do that because I know what needs to be said. So, maybe you can write it tonight and get her to sign it tomorrow.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Did she always think you were going to write it for her, or did she just not get around to doing it? I know I would have trouble writing myself a glowing recommendation. It would feel weird. But as RowdysMom says, it can be done! Maybe you add a point about how you're good at picking up other people's tasks at the last minute.
