| OMG I can not believe this My son's dr started him on some new medication week before last. We filled the prescription on Thursday and he started taking it on Friday. He had a 30 day supply of Concerta. He took his medicine Friday and Saturday morning, then left Sat afternoon and went to visit his bio-dad. He was there for 6 days. He left with 28 pills so SHOULD have come back with 22, right? He didn't. He came back with 10!!! So he is missing exactly 12 pills. I KNOW his bio-dad took them. I don't know WHY, but I know he did. I called him and of course he "doesn't know" what happened to them. I am just furious. I knew I shouldn't have let him go.

| Wow, what a loser. Can you not report it? I'm not sure how things like that go over but I feel so sorry for your son to have to deal with a "dad" like that.

| I plan on letting his doctor know when we go there tomorrow. What else can I do? I don't have "proof" other than the lack of medicine. *sigh*

| At least letting the doctor know is good. Do you have the proof that he was at his dad's when they came up missing? I don't know, I wish there were some way you could get him in trouble because it's just downright sad!

| Concerta can be used as speed on the street. Worth about 7 dollars a pill here. Make sure your Dr. knows you and your son didnt abuse them. |

| He's either popping them or selling them.....? We have a daycare parent that steals one of their kids ADD meds when they go see him. The mom now just packs enough for their stay. NO extras. and she knows the minute she comes home whether he didn't give them to her and took them or not. |

YT Addict | I am so sorry he did that. I too had to deal with an ex like that as well. I would just give the exact amount and no more. I would also let the doctor now. Again I am so sorry you have to go through this. My son is now 17 and still see's his Father on Saturday's only as my ex even stole money out of my Son's bank account 7 hundred dollars. So now my Son is not allowed to take his bank card to his Fathers anymore. How sick is that. I feel your pain, anger, frustration and I hope it gets better for you. How old is your Son? |

| Concerta is a Schedule II Prescription Drug. Being in possession of this without a valid prescription is a felony offense. I would absolutely contact law enforcement and file a police report so there is a paper trail if this continues to happen. The last thing you need is your son being drug activity, whether your ex-husband is using or selling. This could place him in great danger and is not the environment any child should be around.

| My son is 12. I asked him and he said his dad took his medicine and 'put it up' as soon as he got there. They gave him one pill each morning he was there except for Friday morning. So that means he is missing 13 pills and not 12. I am definitely going to report it to his doctor and ask her what else I need to do. He has an appt with her this afternoon.

| 12 years old is a child but they know a whole lot more than we ever did. You might have to take your ex by the, you know what, and tell him he gets only the number of pills that your son needs. Tell him 100 percent that if he ever finds out that your son missed his meds and doesn't return with them, he won't see him. Tell him, see ya in court. See what happens then! |

| Could you trust your son to take the pill daily without handing them over to your ex? My son who is now 20, took ADD meds for years and at 12 he would take him meds daily with a little reminder from me. Sounds like your son is more responsible than his dad is to control his medicine. Horrible that you cannot trust your ex with your son's care. But I do agree also that you need to fall this fool out on his inappropriate parenting and make is know that you will not tolerate this ever again.
