| YAY For Me I know none of you know me but I have to share my joy with someone. I GOT A JOB!!! I was laid off from my previous job on December 31st (Happy New Year Cheryl) and have been looking hard ever since. I spent the last 6 weeks going through the most grueling interview process of my professional career (25+ years), well the called today and made me an offer - a good offer. I will tell you this much, I am an educated person with an advanced college degree and getting a job this time around was TOUGH, TOUGH, TOUGH. In the past I had job offers while I was working but this time I had to make it my job finding a job. I am looking forward to getting back into the working world however I will miss my days of hanging out with Sophie Kate. Just think, now I might able to buy that second Yorkie I am always dreaming about.

| Good for you :-) A lot of my family members too have ben laid off from there jobs and some don't even know if they will have a job to go back to.My brother-in-law who is highly educated has worked for Caterpillar for years and worked his way up and finally got a job that had him traveling to places like Brazil.Well he just got laid off and it can be 6 months before he gets called back and...he won't have the job he had before they transferred that to Arkansas so if he wants to keep it he will have to relocate which they plan on doing.I look in the paper and Monster.com and there really isn't a lot of jobs out there. |

| Thank you all, I do appreciate the support. It was stressful at times and thankfully I had a lot of support at home. Congrats to you Journey 826 for getting a job also. Chattiesmom, now that I have an income I see one of you step in harnessess in Sophie Kates future. Again, thank you all for letting me share this.

| That is excellent news, sophiekate's mom! It’s a crazy economy out there. I work for uncle sugar in the DC, and we cant find enough qualified people to hire; I'm totally serious we are hiring like there is no tomorrow. Of course, all the Government has to do is keep printing those green backs and we can all act like true Americans (conspicuous consumers) until the Chinese stop financing our debt. Our Yorkies have the advantage of a brain the size of a walnut, and don't have to get stressed out about such trivia... I think I'd like to be reincarnated as one (only without the kibbles, only human food if you please) |
