| I love coconut oil! I buy whatever brand is the cheapest that is both virgin and organic but I know a lot of people are loyal to Nutiva. I've never noticed a big difference between brands. I get it in the cooking isle with the other oils. Usually the type in the beauty isle is regular coconut oil, not virgin.

| If you have a larger well stocked grocery store (which I don't) it will be on the baking isle with the cooking oils. I get mine from a little health food store where it is also with the cooking oils.

| I get mine at the health food store. Garden of Life is the brand of pure virgin, organic coconut oil that was recommended to me by Sissy's nutritionist. She gets 1/4-1/2 tsp mixed in with her food once a day (I melt it in the microwave first as it is solid). We use this instead of adding a squirt of salmon oil as coconut oil has a lower fat content and many healing properties for the digestive system. It is also great to rub on their coats!!!!

I also mix a tiny bit with raw sugar for a body scrub. A lot of people like it as a hair mask but it doesn't work for me (thin, fine hair) or Lauren (thick, course hair)- I don't know why because it seems to work great for some people. What's everyone else doing with it?

| Oh Ann, just thought of another thing since you're a baker. I've heard it's really great as the fat in baked dessert type foods. I don't bake often so I haven't tried it but I've read you use less coconut oil to replace veggie oil or butter.
