| [LONG!!] How we found out about Milohs breed and age So as most of you know i posted about a week ago about your opinion on our baby Milohs Breed and age since we werent fully trusting the breeder we had got him from. Well I would be happy to share with you that he is PURE yorkie!!! And he happens to be 4 months. We are so so so happy!!! I'm so glad that can be put to the side now.. unfortunatly it wasnt the way i wanted to find out.... We had recently gotten a Toy pomeranian who was 8 weeks old to be a playmate for Miloh, he was the cutest little pom you had ever seen. Well, from the first day i held "snowball" on the breeders porch i wondered to myself.. I know he's a puppy and all but hes just to ..... and i couldnt find the word. He wasn't "Puppy-Puppy" ya know what i mean? he wasnt hyper or even little enthused. So i just kept telling myself, hes just a puppy he might just be that way. So off we went to take him to his "forever home" Then came the second full day he was with us, He didnt seem to happy, he didnt really have anything to do with Miloh, he wouldnt eat,drink,play...nothing. He layed around the whole time and slept some of it. So we called the breeder..... We asked her a few ?'s and asked her if she would like to try and find him a different home because he didnt seem happy. She said no and that all sales are final. So ok i kinda expected that... we figured we'd just go ahead and give it another try for about a month to see how he did, i thought again maybe hes just homesick, ya know. then came the next day, he was still the same except he had thrown up.... I thought once again maybe homesick? pups do this.. i stopped thinking that when the poor baby pooed black poo with a "red" tint... probably blood. My husband then rushed snowball and my Miloh off to the vet. I had to be at work so i couldnt go along. About 2 hours later i recieved a phone call from my husband saying it was Parvo, my heart sank. I couldnt contain myself, not even being at work kept me from breaking down. About 20 minutes later he was put down. He was only 8 weeks and didnt have even the slightest fight for life. I felt for this little creature, we might have only been with him for 3 days but it felt like i had known him a very long time, He will always hold a place in my heart. After all this had happened we called the so called Breeder. She was very rude and inconsiderate. She stated that "the dog" was not infected while living at her home (mind you she has maybe 100 dogs+) and he was acting fine. I totally disagree, like i said that moment we were at her house i felt weird about the puppy but went against my gut feeling. The vet had told my husband that the puppy had been infected probably 4 to 7 days prior to the vet visit. We had the baby for 3 days.... We took the puppy from her home to ours and nowhere in between. We only have Miloh whom IS NOT infected at this time and pray that he doesnt! She's obviously not very bright. She has NO CARE for the fact of her selfishness for money she has killed an innocent baby who didnt get to live its life to the fullest. Or the fact that the rest of her animals probably wont either. Or that she put Miloh at risk knowing he is our family dog, or even that my family would be devastated. I have 2 children 2 and 4 and they should not have had to go though that, they loved that puppy like it had been with is for years. I let this woman know noone i associate with or anyone in my family will NOT EVER buy from her "so called Kennel" EVER. And thats alot of people. She will know i will make sure everyone knows of her and what she does, whether i post Blogs on several different websites or call everyone in the phonebook. I would to. She has no right!!!!! As for Miloh, We are still praying and crossing fingers that he does not get infected...He's our baby and we would be so lost without him. The vet visit was Thursday, the vet said if Miloh wasnt showing any symptoms over the weekend then to bring him in monday to get another Parvo vaccine. It's now Sunday, Miloh is still eating,Drinking, and playing, hopefully it stays that way!!! But we are also so so so happy to know his age and to know he is purebred. I would love him either way but this makes it 1000x better. As for you all, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pay attention to EVERY little detail when getting a new Pup. It's SO SO SO SO SO important. No animal and i mean NO ANIMAL should ever go through something like that. They deserve a chance. Sorry for this being so long, and thanks so much for reading. You guys are the best. <3<3<3<3 IMO<3 Snowball.

YT 1000 Club Member | Sometimes some posts just leave me speechless for a few minutes. Then the emotions and words just spill out. I feel so bad for the puppy and your family for the loss but yet I want to ring this womans neck. Since the vet diagnosed a puppy that came from that woman and she has alot of dogs shouldn't it be reported? I would think animal control would want to do some testing and investigate the situation. I'm sure they don't really want a bunch of disease infected animals being bred or spreading it to the rest of the population. It should be there jobs to try and stop this when and where ever they can. My prayers are with you and your family that your Miloh baby will be ok and for your sad loss. |

| What a tragedy! Sorry you had to go through that. Its never easy losing a friend and pet. I think that your idea of plastering this info across the net is brilliant. Any dog site that has a forum where you can leave feedback about this particular kennel , I would. Use your frustration as motivation. I also would call the ASPCA/animal control in that county to inform them that their is possibly an outbreak of parvo at that kennel, and then explain the situation to them. They need to know that now. Once again I am sorry for your loss. |

| This is so sad and tragic I am so sorry for your loss, I know how it is to lose a pup so young. I will have your family in my prayers. But I am curious to know why you would go through a sale like that if you say you had a bad feeling and she had a 100 dogs at her house? You say you just bought Miloh and you didn't trust his breeder, one would think you wouldn't buy from the same kind of situation again. Is this lady going to refund you your money? |

| Oh, so sad!!!! I agree that you need to call the ASPCA or animal control and tell them about this. Parvo is horrible!!! One of the shelters here had an outbreak of it and they talked about it on the news for two days. So PLEASE, call and report her. No dog deserves to die such a slow and painful death. Also, sue that lady!!!! Your vet can write you a statement that Snowball was contaminated when you got him so sue her. Maybe that will make her realize she can't just use dogs and people like this. So sorry for your loss. Please, consider a rescue from a group or your local shelter if you plan to find a new playmate. Or look for a reputable breeder, none of which will have hundreds of dogs. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thank you all so much for posting, i thought it would be a good idea to get the news out there. We are in the process of reporting her now. I talked to my mom who has a friend that adopts abused animals and was furious she talked to people she knew and found out that someone in the same county as this woman had been selling Parvo infected dogs. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say its her We are getting ALL information that we can and praying that Karma kicks in for her. I will do anything i can to make sure this doesnt happen again to those poor babies. Shes cruel and is creating her own sick epidemic. The woman was nice and seemed as ifshe loved animals. She kept talking to Miloh and petting him. He didnt like her When i held the puppy i did have a WEIRD feeling not a bad not like something is wrong i just felt a little funny in my gut. But I hope that all goes well and she gets what she deserves.

| Hi I am so sorry for your loss, parvo is a horrible disease and very very painful for these lil babies. This woman will get what she deserves! god will see to that. Your baby didn't deserve this. As for Miloh, I am glad he is fine at the moment. We will keep you in our prayers. For now I would keep a jug of pedialyte and some nutri-cal on hand for Miloh in case he starts to show any symptoms. Parvo can incubate for up to 1 week but it stays alive in the environment for years if it is not properly cleaned with bleach. I am sure your vet notified you to clean with bleach wherever the POM may have been, but just in case I figured I would say something. If Miloh stops drinking water at all take him to the vet right away. Also you may want to syringe him some pedialyte to make up for the lack of fluids and replace anything lost if he gets diarreah or vomiting. Hugs to you and your family!! I hope everything works out for the best. Quote:

| HI I am sorry for the loss of your puppy! I wanted to share a story and a warning. I had a friend who had a puppy that got Parvo, they didn't follow the clean up precautions, they also had small children. The children ended up getting severe virus-like symptoms. They weren't getting any better and took them to the Dr. It turns out the kids ended up "catching" parvo virus from the dogs. It wasn't live threatening, but very hard on the kids who had flu-like virus symptoms for a long while. Just make sure that you clean your home to get rid of all the sickness. I know we all worry about our dogs getting it but not many people know that children (especially young ones) can also get the virus.
