| Need prayers I have a job interview coming up in 2 days. It means a lot to me to get this job. I need some YT prayers please. I am a nervous freak when it comes to interview..I'll feel better with some support. I hope I won't get tongue-tied this time or stutter.

| Be confident in your ability, and remember to look at the person who's interviewing you. This shows you are self assured.

| Thank you. I am really nervous...not sure why..I am always like that before interviews..I am reading and thinking about the questions they might ask as much as I can so I will at least be prepared.

| I'm not sure if you are going for this interview for a job you have never done before- but the best advice I ahve been given for when you are interviewing for a new position- they usually ask you- What is a weakness you have- and a great answer is "I don't have a lot of experience at [enter job position here]". And then you can follow that up with but I plan on doing this and this and this to make sure I'm ready for the position and I am a fast learning so... blah blah blah... hope that helps! |

| Good luck! I conduct a lot of interviews, and the best advice is to be yourself, don't appear nervous, and remember that every answer is an opportunity to sell yourself! Also, remember to smile. At the end of the day, most people hire the person they think would be the most enjoyable to work with if that candidate has similar credentials to other applicants. Even simple questions like "tell me about yourself" are a chance to sell yourself. Never answer by saying, "well, I'm from this state and like basketball and..." Instead talk about your work experience and what you're looking for in a new position. And don't forget to have questions to ask about the job or company itself. Good luck!

I hate that question! Another key to answering it is to avoid cliches. Don't say that your weakness is that you procrastinate. 99% of people give that answer, and it sounds like you put no thought into it (even if it's true!). Instead think of something else and then, as the other poster said, explain how you did fix it or how you are working to fix it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I really appreciate all the advice that I have gotten. This is a job I have never done before but it is entry level and I will have better opportunities once I get it. I really do not mind learning through a new industry and I am a fast learner, the only weakness I have is being too nervous during an interview! There was once I panicked to the point that I did not hear what they asked me eventhough they repeated the question! That is my only biggest hurdle but the more I prepare, the more I feel better and less nervous. I will check this thread again tonight and do even more preparation! Edited to add: I am trying to remember everyone's advice so that I won't forget when I go in!

Got through the interview today alive lol. There were 3 people interviewing me at the same time omg! I was a little nervous the first 5 mins and I could feel my face hot and red lol but I did talk and did not panick and I control myself pretty well and I remember to do what everyone said! I think I warmed up after 5 mins and started to talk a little more fluently lol. I won't hear anything until the end of March though because they are interviewing like 20 people and I am not putting a lot of hope in it. I know I can work but I am just not the best talker in the world.
