| Wow , Thanks for the info !! I just bought two box's of the Kashi TLC peanut butter chewy bars ! Mine have a Sept 09 date not an August 09 date , but I will be taking them back anyway ! Man we really like them too I hope it doesn't effect any of their other foods. It's getting so we can't trust any food companies !

| I would have thought (obviously wrongfully so) that if one company wouldn't be affected, it would've been Kashi because their stuff is organic, so I don't see how it could come from the same place. I love Kashi Chewy bars sooooo much.

| Yeah , my boys ( and I) like to eat them as snacks or as part of their breakfast parfait ( broken up and mixed with yogurt and sliced fruit ...mmmm so good ) . I'm hoping that nothing else is effected , we have a cabinet full of Kashi and I'm kinda wondering about it now

| Oh my gosh, these are a main staple snack for me. I buy the variety box from Costco all the time. I eat 1-2 a day! The box I just bought doesn't have the dates listed on their site, but I'm sure I had boxes that were. This is so upsetting!

| Their Trail Mix bars have some kind of peanut powder in them. Now sure about the Honey Almond Flax but they have been recalled also. And their cookies... I eat the chewy bars all the time and I ate a ton of the recalled kinds.

| Well I cleared out my Kashi cabinet just to be safe I'm not eating any of it right now ! While I can't be sure, I think I heard TAPS playing gently in the background as I took the bag to the garbage and said goodbye to my healthy cookies

| I went on their website, kashi.com. These are the products being recalled:. Kashi™ TLC™ Chewy Granola Bars in Trail Mix and Honey Almond Flax varieties, 7.4 ounce box with a "Best If Used Before" date prior to September 19, 2009 and followed by the letters CD (SEP 19 2009 CD) Kashi™ TLC™ Chewy Granola Bars Peanut Peanut Butter, 7.4 ounce box with a "Best If Used Before" date prior to August 8, 2009 and followed by the letters CD (AUG 08 2009 CD) Kashi ™ TLC™ Chewy Cookies in Oatmeal Dark Chocolate, Happy Trail Mix and Oatmeal Raisin Flax varieties, 8.5 ounce box with a "Best If Used Before" date prior to July 30, 2009. These products were also included in some Club assortment and variety packs of Kashi™ TLC™ products. What should I do with product that is affected by this recall? Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are urged to destroy the product. Consumers with questions or who would like a refund may contact the Kashi Consumer Response Center at 877-701-5868. Consumers with questions or concerns about their health should contact their doctor. Are the recalled products distributed nationwide? Where and in what type of stores were these packages sold? The products were distributed nationwide to grocery, health food, foodservice, convenience, drug, Club stores and online retailers nationwide. Have you received consumer complaints of illness as a result of consuming the recalled Kashi® products? No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these products. Why weren't these products recalled earlier? The products did not contain peanut butter or peanut paste from Peanut Corporation of America. Due to the expanded recall by PCA, to include all peanut products, these products were found to be involved and therefore, recalled. Are Kashi products sold in Canada affected by the recall? No. None of the recalled product was distributed in Canada. It doesn't appear that their cereal is included. This is terrible. I love all of their products and eat something Kashi daily.
