| Any home remedies for the flu/pneumonia I've had the flu for over 4 weeks and now I think it's turning into pneumonia. I can't afford to keep going to the Doctor every week, and nothing she's doing is helping.

YT 500 Club Member | I don't want to scare you, but pneumonia is nothing to mess with. I have known two young women who died at home from this, and both were healthy prior to becoming ill. Please see your doctor again if you really think you are getting pneumonia. It is serious.

| Has your Dr done any X-Rays on you yet? If not you might want to go one of those urgent care places & get it done to rule out pneumonia. I know sometimes my Dr. will just keep telling me to come back over & over again and I get tired of giving them money so I go to somewhere like Patient First and they do all necessary tests there and get my medicine there too. Hope you feel better soon! |

| when I had pneumonia - I thought I would never be well again in my life -- it is very serious. You need to see the doc asap Two things that help when I get sick are drinking Echinacea tea - which you can even find in the grocery store now. Or drink some hot lemonade - there are a lot of ways to make it - lemon juice, water & honey or a pkg of equal in place of the honey

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I wouldn't mess with this either. May I suggest that you get a flu shot next year? They no longer use a live bug, so your chances of getting sick from the shot, are null. The flu is an awful thing to experience, but secondary infections such as pneumonia can be life threatening, especially in a weakened state. Best of luck.

| I have had pnemonia several times. Luckily, I always caught it in the "walking" stage and a quick Z-Pack will knock it out. DO NOT wait until it is serious. If you are stuggling with Dr. bills now, think of hospital bills in the future if it gets bad. Usually they can hear it in your lungs and get you on antibiotics asap. I feel so bad for you!! Being sick just SUCKS!!!!!
