Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Who Are Your Heroes? I love learning about people who have made the world a better place and was curious about who you see as "heroes". I know I'm forgetting many of mine, but here are a few: Nelson Mandela Aung San Suu Kyi William Wilberforce Martin Luther King Jr. Gandhi Mother Teresa Robert F. Kennedy (to an extent - for his civil liberties work) All animals who have owned me My Husband

| I have to say my husband too. The people that you never hear about, that donate their time or money for helping both people and animals.

| My grandpa is one of my biggest heros because he spend 20 years in the Air Force and then the next 20 the head of a non profit orginization called AFSA (Air Force Sargents Association) and fought for rights for the military extremly hard and would still come home and make trains with me out of paper boxed and ride a broom stick around while I rode my stick horse. He used to get invited to the white house to do breakfast with the pres before he retired and he took me with him twice once to meet clinton and once to meet bush. If Im not feeling good and just wont eat at 8 at night he will go out and get me something he knows I love. My grandma because she had 4 kids and managed to raise them wonderfuly. And she is the most caring and loving person in the world and she trys to help everyone whether she is able to or not. My mom because she has almost also seemed to put me first in everything and do what is best for me My Callie baby because she has such unconditional love. She has given me a purpose when I have none. She is there to lick there tears away when im crying. And she always seems to know when I need her to curl up in my arms. Shes always by myside.

| With no doubt...id have to say my parents. They came over to the U.S. 40 years ago from Italy, not knowing the language . They learned the language, spent years working hard and provided a fantastic life for my brother and I. I couldnt have asked for better roles models in life.

| Every time I hear of one of those awards shows handing out trophy's to celebrities it just makes me cringe....I don't consider acting or signing a reason for a person to be celebrated, I just don't or can't watch those shows. I think the people who actually make a difference or makes the sacrifices to help the needy should be the ones applauded and admired...... I have to admire and respect all the people who are so dedicated to help others in need like ..... Angelflight- pilots who volunteer to provide transportation to families in need during a medical crisis's Peace Corps International Health Volunteers - a medical services organization for people in need, as in Haiti All the animal rescue people who are dedicated to saving the abused, used, and discarded...

| My grandparents. They had 8 children of their own and adopted three polish girls during WW2. They taught all their kids and grand kids that somethings are more important then money. My grandpa invented the first color safe red dye in the mid 1900's but still raised all his kids on a farm because he thought that would teach them more than raising them in a mansion. They also taught each of us that a college degree doesn't earn respect. My aunts and uncles range from nuclear engineers to Appliance repairman, but each loves and respects the other. Mother Teresa. Wise woman. and those that are willing to give of themselves when another is in need without expectations of repayment. |

| My heros are My little brother, he is 27 and has been in the military for almost 10 years, he has gone to Iraq, North Korea, Quatar, Kuwait and soon he is going back to Iraq. My mother, it took me until I was in my late 20s to realize how strong of a woman she is. She would do ANYTHING for her children, ANYTHING! Also a few girlfriends who had the courage to walk away from a situation they know was not good for them, to get educated, to make it on their own. They were my guides and inspirations when I had to walk away from a situation that was not good for me.

| I have a few, but the top hero (in my book) is hands-down my dad! He was the most loving, accepting, kind, caring, nonjudgemental person that I EVER known!!!! I would give anything for him to still be here with us, but he's no longer suffering...it's his time now. He left me with the passion to live as he did and to treat others with the same compassion that he so unconditionally gave. Tammy |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | My parents. They always give what they can and encourage me to do the best that I can and do what I love. and they are such hard workers. My dad leaves the house at 6AM every morning and works until 8-9 PM depending on the day -- to provide for our family. He is the hardest worker I know. My brother. He's 18...and he's your regular 18 year old boy (kind of an idiot ). But he works so hard to help people. He is a volunteer fireman, is going to join the Military, and when someone needs something, he never says no. There are a lot of performers on Broadway that I really, really admire. They work so hard and dedicate so much to their craft...and also work hard outside of their job and volunteer at different events and do a lot of charity work...and that's something I admire a lot. Soldiers. The men and women who fight for our country and our Freedom...we owe everything to them. Anyone who works with kids or animals. My teachers. I've had quite a few teachers, and ALL of them have touched my life in some ways, whether I liked them as teachers or not. Teachers are such incredible people and they deserve so much more credit than they get.
