| How many of you purchase Replica products, such as bags, jewelry, etc. Do you purchase replica/designer inspired items from brands such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Juicy Couture, Prada, MiuMiu, etc.? Or do you buy the real thing? |

| Real thing.. always!! I don't understand why people who buy replicas don't just use that money to buy another purse that isn't "fake"? Most replicas are obviously fake.. so why not just buy a regular non-designer then instead of embarassing themselves? |

I don't buy designer stuff. OK I have like 3 Vera Bradley's but now they are being made in China and it's not that hard to sew a cotton quilted bag so I just make my own now. But I totally agree. Why buy a fake Coach when you can just go buy NY&Co purse for $25? I totally can't tell the fakes, but anyone who knows Coach (or whatever designer) will know. I'm sure that person isn't trying to impress me, because even if I can't tell it's fake I'm going to think "why did you spend $300 on a purse??" But people that might potentially be impressed are totally going to know it's a fake. I don't get the designer purses, sunglasses, etc. *Maybe* I would get a pair of designer jeans if I had the body for them and if they were made in the USA. But I dunno, I got some trouser jeans at Eddie Bauer last week for $15 that are awesome. So, probably not

| And if you know someone working at the right place with employee discount, you can get the real thing for exactly half the price and even additional discounts on sale items. |

| I always buy the real thing and the thing that bothers me about people who buy replicas is when they try and pass it off a real. I also can't stand when people (sister-in-law ) have to comment about how much was spent on a real bag, its not my fault. I can't help my husband buys stuff like this for me

| I don't buy a lot of bags and such. I have a Donna Karan bag that I bought last year, otherwise I just buy cheap purses. I would be very embarassed to buy a knock off, or least I would be if I tried to pass it off as genuine. I know people that have bought a second wedding band/ring set thats fake, just because it matches their other jewelry better, but I can't do that either. I don't have the desire to spend a ton on bags and such, but if I am going to buy a decent one, I buy genuine, otherwise whats the point?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I'd rather buy the real thing. I'm not really into bags in general though (not really into shopping in general, actually - it's like I'm missing a gene!). There is only one "lustful" bag I'd really love to have and that's the Hermes Birkin (in 2 sizes ). I love the history of the bag, the hardware, and the longevity.

| Yeah I buy genuine... but I buy from outlet and factory stores most of the time. I don't care if its a season old. I like the quality of the real thing. I am not a big accessory person though so I don't buy a lot of that type of stuff. I also only wear real jewelry, not costume jewelry. I am allergic to fake earrings and within an hour my ears get red and itchy and painful. With rings my fingers turn green usually. I find that decent looking costume jewelry is more than 1/2 the price of something real anyways so I'd rather save a bit longer and buy the real thing. At Kohls sterling silver is usually always 70% off, so I get silver rings and earrings a lot and they are super cheap at less than $15 a piece.

| Definitely the real thing! Who wants something fake? I just got the Louis Vuitton speedy, and I am sooo excited! I can spot a fake anywhere |
