| No more Circuit City They officially announced their closing. All stores in the US are closing in 60 days. 34,000 will lose their jobs. There isn't even a website anymore, just a notification of them closing. I guess all stores are liquidating their merchandise too. I'm so sad. This was one of my favorite and trusted stores for electronics.

| Wow. I know my mother told me the other day that Office Depot in town was closed. I didn't even know they were closing. All the Goody's clothing stores are closing/closed too.

| They had JUST built a Circuit City within walking distance of my house too. They finished in September or so, and now there are people standing outside with liquidation signs.

| So sad that all those people are losing their jobs. A new circuit city was built a couple years ago around the corner, I new it wouldn't be long in this area for them to close though, some locations around here had already closed down last year.. It's sad though, last week a huge dealership that's been around for sooo many years, is finally closing down everything but their service area. The owner wants to honor the warranties that people have with him. It's sad to see places that have been around so long that are now closing, Like gottschalks.

| Sure seems like its the sign of the times I really like Circuit city much more than their competition like Best Buy and others. Its so sad for the employees and families. I know so many people now that have lost their jobs. I just dont know what they will do. I have a feeling that this economy is not going to get better any time soon.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | That is so sad. They say that the economy is going to get worse before it gets better. Very scary. Praying for all who are being affected by these hard times.

| I think they're liquidating everything so they can pay off debts and loans. Kinda the same way Mervyns did a little while ago. Everything was for sale, even the shoe racks! I had to let my job go too, with gas prices going back up, they re-scheduled me. I couldn't make the commute for a 3 hour shift one day a week. It just wasn't worth it.

| The people who hold up the liquidation signs on the side of the road say...in veeerrryyy tiny print 'up to' and then 30% in huuuuge print so you pull up thinking everything is 30% off. Once you get inside there are signs around that say 10% off. |

| This is very sad news indeed. It's always been my pick over Best Buy but it always seems as if Bast Buy does a better business which I never understood. I always find better buys at Circuit City.

| Yea I was in there on Saturday and things were still overpriced. I also read an article that said that you should still comparison shop because they could mark up the price, then put a percentage off to make you think your getting a great deal, when you might not.

| Well, we stopped by our local CC today. Even though everything is 10% off, its off of MFRP! So its not really a good deal. I saw the Zen mp3 player in there that I bought at Walmart for 59 being sold for 79! It was depressing too. The employees acted like they didn't care, and they looked so sad.
