| So how is YOUR day going? Lessee....I go to give my son a shower last night. The handle for the cold water just spins round and round and round. Well damn. Seems I need to replace the shower faucets. It's only been 22 years so no complaints there. Uh oh...I can't get the screws out of the valve to get the faucet off and my pipes are BETWEEN the two walls next to the toilet. So....I end up having to remove the walls to get to the main lines and remove them from there. Tis okay. Easily fixed with putty and paint. I go outside and turn off the main water line. I go back in...remove the faucet and off to Home Depot I go. Not bad. $30.00. I can handle this. I go back home and attach the new faucet. Go back outside (mind you our HIGH for the next few days is single numbers) and turn the water on. I STILL HAVE NO COLD WATER....what the hell???? I have water to my toilet and sink but no cold to the bathtub. I instantly think oh man, did I forget to plug my heat tape in? Back outside I go to check out the situation. Oh yes, it's plugged in but....and a BIG BUT...THE LANDLORDS HAVE IT WRAPPED AROUND THEIR MAIN INTAKE LINE!!!! Seems when they replaced the main water line last year they moved the heat tape from MY lines to theirs!!! At this point I'm cranked. To say the least. After 2 hours of putting a hair dryer on every pipe in that bathroom I now have cold water in the shower. I will always have cold water to my shower as it will not be shut off until spring. So......how's your day going? |

| Wow you are good. I have no idea what you said for the most part but Im glad you were able to solve the problem!! My day has gone like this... mind you its 'that time' of month for me. No toothpaste this morning, leave for work and get caught in dead stop traffic. Call boss to say I'll be late, finally get out of traffic onto a different highway and a rock kicks off a trailer and bashes my windshield putting a nice little nick in it (my car is only 6 months old) we are supposed to get a cold front for the next 4 days that will leave temps in the single digits... so hopefully this won't spider crack. Get to work and get pulled into the big boss's office. Im not getting laid off, but my job is changing into exactly that I didn't want it to. Oh well... still got a job, thank god and I didnt get a demotion or pay decrease. Have to watch coworkers get laid off, which is always just horrible. Then big BIG boss calls and says I have to do a presentation to all the sales managers tomorrow morning at 830am. Luckily I know this day could be worse... but right now its not all that great!

| ugh.. not much better.... we got TONS of snow and of course, when no one else is home and of COURSE because i'm the only one who ever shovels- we don't have a snow blower- mind you if either of my parents ever ahd to shovel- we would have a snow blower tomorrow... and i totally hurt my back on the second attempt of finishing the drive way (and i'm not even done it yet) and my stupid neighbour watched me shovel when he used HIS snow blower- honestly it would take him 1 min to do what is left and i'll be out there at least 20 min until i am done- assuming i can get off the couch... i better take an advil. |

| I see that you are also from NH. Yes, -30* for us by Friday morning. Beautiful state but the winters are brutal! Sounds like we're both having awful days. But yes, that's what I kept telling myself while dealing with all this crap. It could be so much worse. I've taken a hot shower and will now sit on the couch with a book and forget this day ever happened. |

| Wow and I thought it was going to be cold here! The high today was a cold 47 but you also have to take into account that this is in Mississippi and we hardly ever get snow! Heck we were excited when we got a whopping 4 to 6 inches in December! I know we have some lows in the lower 20s and upper teens at the end of this week! Fun....not! Luckily I don't have the pipe problem but kudos to you for fixing it! I know I wouldn't have been able to do so! My day has gone ok, work is the way work is when you work for an attorney and law firm....busy,slow,busy...but hey it's a job with a lot of excitement! Oh yeah and I started graduate school back today with a class on Political Theory....can you see the excitment radiating from my body? LOL!!! Sometimes I wish I lived where it snowed, then I read about shoveling snow and realize I'm pretty content in the south! Lol!
